I'd have to say if Mike and company wrren't aware of this movie before, they are now eh? I wonder though, did they reassemble the original cast for this thing?

No, the cast is completely different.  I would assume it's because this one is being done almost 20 years after the previous Hobgoblins, so the old man is probably dead, and the "kids" were already adults before; they'd be middle aged now.

Even though this is a sequel, I noticed that the hobgoblin-created illusion Fantazia has returned on the cast of characters.
....man, those hobgoblins sure aren't very creative when it comes to making up illusions, are they?

Really.  Put on your willing-suspension-of-disbelief hat:

I'm betting Mike & crew already know about this, but I had to do my best to inform them, if they didn't.

I smell a riff.

Part of me says yes, part of me says "Better not to attract attention to it."

Does anybody know what the movie will be about? Clones of the original hobgoblins locked inside a high school kids locker?

From IMDB:  "This is the long awaited part 2 for writer/Director Rick Slones classic Hobgoblins shot in 1988 complete with original wardrobe and goblins. Once again the evil Hobgoblins are back. They have escaped into the hospital psyche ward and are causing trouble for the unsuspecting patients."

errrr....

When I posted this originally, I'd searched the site and not found any HG2 references... then afterwards, I found them, maybe the search thingy didn't like me...  Anyway...  can't wait for the Riff.

Original wardrobe?  God help us...

I think my soul is breaking just at the knowledge that anyone would even consider being associated with this movie.  I'll still watch it is the sad part, especially if they still have the same "just set them down and let them rock in place" puppeteering.

If something like this gets a riff though I may have to start calling for a riff of my friend from Ohio's movie, Marty Jenkins and the Vampire Bitches.

...which now that I think of it, has the running gag that everyone in Ohio watches Hobgoblins constantly.  Every stack of dvds in the video store, whether being rented, returned, or shelved has a copy of Hobgoblins on top.

Yes, indeed.  Let us preserve the dignity of our crappy half-assed poorly acted Gremlins with mind powers since they can't move too well movie.

yes...it's true.
"This is the long awaited part 2 for writer/Director Rick Sloane's campy cult classic Hobgoblins shot in 1987. Old man McCreedy is locked away in a mental hospital when Kevin and his friends are revisited by the nasty creatures. Hobgoblins 2 is done in the style of Grindhouse, it was made to look like a 1980s cheesy horror film, down to having its own fake trailers included."

Yes the film is done, and Rick is currently looking for a distributor.

The fake trailers are the first thing to really spark my interest.  Curious what they came up with.

ughhh  >:( there is a 9 year old starring in this flick. I am very worried what kind of situations Rick is going to portray this actress in.

Also none of the original actors? The character names are all there, including Fantazia, and McCreedy.  But Sloane did get Karen Knotts to play a role in the new movie, remember her? I didn't.

I must be a sado-masochist, because I can't freaking wait to see this movie.

It's true 20 yrs later they are making hobgoblins 2, well at least according to imdb.  I love what they put under plot summary:

Think we can hope for a rifftrax for it????
