I just read that Rick Sloane has a sequal to his wonderfully bad Hobgoblins.

If Hobgoblins 2 comes to video I will finally accept that there is no God.  This is not to say that God is dead, I think he is merely on vacation and has left the universe in the hands of his yokel brother-in-law who allowed funding to be made available for Hobgoblins 2.  Curses upon him

This is actually becoming a pretty big business for studios, I read an article about it recently.  Just look at the huge influx of Direct to video titles lately.  All the American Pie spin-offs, National Lampoon flicks, not to mention Road House 2.

All I know is that if the premise that most sequels are worse than the original holds true, then the end result of Hobgoblins 2 is going to be mind-bendingly, divide-by-zero type of bad...

This is a great opportunity to release a Rifftrax to coincide with the release of a DVD. A Hobgoblins 2 Rifftrax hitting the same day as this is released. If I remember correctly, Rick Sloan was rather game when the MST3K was done for Hobgoblins.

uhm....I didn't remember correctly....this is the guy they said had rat droppings for brains and was obviously on crack during the production. Well, it still needs to be riffed though!
