Acually it's not that bad.  Especially when the ewok giggles at you while you do it.  It's kinda cute.
Touche ... anything else you'd like to insert into that Ewok's asshole besides your tongue?

You mean like a spoon?

I was just over at Rottentomatoes.com and was curious about the rating that Indiana Jones and the temple of doom has... and my jaw dropped to my toes when I saw it had a 91% tomato-meter rating. I am trying so hard to hold back the filtihiest, most wretchedly horrible fantasies I can imagine about slaughtering movie critics. The only thing that really stops me is this... How can this be?! It is so clearly a very awful and bad movie! It's like the goddamn Phantom Menace and Attack of the clones! Although both have ratings in the 60-something percent range, that's just f'ing ridiculous because both those movies suck just as much shit as your average mst3k movie!!! I mean dammit I don't think there's a single positive thing I can find to say about Temple of doom! Yeah it's cool to see Indy kicking ass but it sure as hell isn't even one-ten-thousandth the movie Raiders of the lost ark was! I am insulted that this goddamn movie should have such a higher rating than other movies I love like Batman Begins, The Simpsons Movie, Monty Python's the meaning of life and The Untouchables. I mean what the shit huh?! I think Rotten Tomatoes has their head stuck so far up their own goddamn ass that they have shit on the soles of their feet.

Christ, will you calm down?  People have different tastes in movies.  Isn't it conceivable that people enjoy a movie or don't revile it as much as you do?

No... it's not the least bit conceivable to me that there are that many people that love that movie. Oh... and to lend more credence to my argument... Temple of doom was written by the same guy who wrote Howard the duck!!!

But really, though no one holds it against you.... Temple of Doom sucked dead donkey ass. Just saying.

Well, strangely enough, there's a person (I would have said people, but I doubt it) who actually thought Phantom Menace was a good movie (and I live with him). I'm convinced that absolutely every single movie ever made, good or bad, has at least one person on the planet (living or dead) that loved it. I can totally understand your frustration about this subject, but there's nothing you can do about it unless you intend to try to change minds in any regard (or work for Rotten Tomatoes). You'll have an impossible task on your hands if you do.

Surely there's gotta be a movie you totally dig, but everyone else hates, right? I think everyone is guilty of that. Let them have their Temple of Doom. It's not hurting anyone.

Actually... most movies that I love have a following of some kind besides myself.

Well, she'd already done incest the year before so...where else is there to go from there?

Yeah, but there's one soul on the planet who thought Manos was genuinely awesome.

Edit: No, it isn't me.

Hey, don't get me wrong. I really do know where you're coming from. Anytime anyone I know starts going on about Titanic (saw it, loathed it) in a positive fashion, I wish to strangle them. However, the years have mellowed me somewhat and realization always hits when you like something that apperantly no one else does (I vaguely recall an actual thread about that on here somewhere). If it hasn't happened to you yet, I promise that eventually it will.

Chaos

Hey, seriously Principal, look... Rotten Tomatoes is fucked up. That's a given, because its ratings are based on community consensus. You know the saying, "a mob is only intelligent as its dumbest member," right? Well there you go... and honestly, I think that some people rate shitty movies high just for the sake of badness. I mean... PEE WEE'S BIG ADVENTURE was given a rating of 100% (Spinal Tap is 97% BTW). Clearly someone is being a wiseass.

But we really need to embrace the fact that people have different tastes. It is not a personal attack if someone likes something that you don't. There's no call to get so worked up about it... just laugh at the sillyness of it, and move on. There are more worthy things in the world to be angry at than an Indiana Jones movie getting a higher rating than you personally feel it deserves, based on the evaulation of random schmucks on the Internet.

I loved Zoolander. I fucking HATE Ben Stiller, and Owen Wilson, but I loved that god damn movie. I get made fun of for it all the time, even by people who like movies like "Dude, Where's My Car?" But I don't care... it just had something weirdly endearing to it. It's okay to have different tastes... even if they don't fall under your personal umbrella of value. Dial the rage down a bit, man... :)
