BTW, anybody know why he was called Vader?

Because Darth Sideous/The Emperor said so.

I love that scene: Palpy's looking for a word to add to Darth, so he might have ended up as Darth Todd.

From this day forward, you shall be known as Dartmouth Review. Oh, and in the way of bad cliches, the ones I hate the most  are the following: "ohhh, that's gotta hoit", "I don't think so", "Houston, we have a problem", "Hungry? You can eat my gun!!!", and the worst one of all "GO AHEAD MUTHAFUGGAH, MAKE MY MUTHAFUGGAN DAY YOU MUTHAFUGGUN COGGSUGGAH MUTHAFUGGA!!!!"

gbeenie

The "wacky" family. Does anyone here actually have one of those? My family is mostly disturbing and dense.
"All I ask of you is one thing: please don't be cynical. I hate cynicism -- it's my least favorite quality and it doesn't lead anywhere.
Nobody in life gets exactly what they thought they were going to get. But if you work really hard and you're kind, amazing things will happen."

How about the average looking guy managing to hook up with the hot chick? And he's not even rich! :)

"I work alone!"
"Time to give him a taste of his own medicine!"
"It's payback time!"

And it still wouldn't be impressive or badass in any way because the moment I pictured Heyden Christiansen under the mask, I would crack up. It's just gone, all of it.

Ok, can't get the youtube thingy to work, but:

 :D I love that one!

"You're swinging too hard, ass!"

"Well Im about to retire, there's no possible way I could be drawn into another adventure where I could possibly be killed."

"There's only one man who has the skills to battle this evil. And I know where to find him. After he left the SEALS/Green Berets/Super-kick-ass-soldier-guys he got a job selling hotdogs from one of those little carts. I just hope I can convince him to come back for one more mission."

Toby Danger

In Sci-fi or horror movies, there's usually one scene where a character shows off or explains a dangerous piece of machinery, a specialist weapon, or some other random piece of crap. This thing is never mentioned again until the last moment, when it suddenly becomes the only thing that can possibly stop the film's monster/alien thingy.

Examples: The power loader from Aliens, the fusion reactor thing from Species 3.

There's also movies where some scientists create some genetic mutant animals to fight against armies, which then break loose and start killing people.

Seriously, who on earth thinks a trained animal is more adept at fighting armed soldiers than trained soldiers? Do you see bears or tigers being sent into war recently? No. SO what good will a mutant do?

Finally, giant animal/monster movies where the creature is resistant against bullets.
It doesn't matter how big the damn thing is! If you shoot it enough times it'll die of blood loss!

Yeah, it does occur to me that if you got a good shot in at Godzilla's legs, the pressure of all those tons and tons of blood would have it spewing out rapidly.

But of course, most giant monsters don't conform to any of the laws of physics.

Never really understood that....I mean this whole thing about King Kong being impossible because he'd collapse under his own weight.

Well, only if he was misshapen.  But why wouldn't his lower body be stronger exponentially and able to support his upper body if he was just a gorilla of larger dimensions?

That's like saying that the only dog breed that could live - due to the laws of physics - is a Chihuahua.  That a breed like a Great Dane would collapse under it's own weight.  Which we know it doesn't because all of his body is relatively larger and makes that possible.

Assuming as I do that evolution exists and dinosaurs lived before us...how do you explain a creature like a T-Rex with a head like that.

And for that matter, physics still hasn't explained how bumblebees fly, has it?

Physics sucks.   ;)
