  8.   Soldier  -  Kurt "the computer wore tennis shoes" Russel is a super soldier who goes Rambo on some other super soldiers who are so well trained they walk in single file and don't even need to use battle tactics,  and it all takes place in the future on a garbage planet.

Kurt Russel is a good actor.  At making action movies that need riffing.  And for some unknown reason whenever I see them at Walmart for under $10 I end up buying them.  (I think that's why he was in so many of the ones I listed.)

JaneyCat

Van Helsing...x 10

I MUST have missed this one listed elsewhere. No way it's slipped the Razzie dragnet.

Thought I'd come up with some that may or may not have been suggested:

-Black Dog : It's Swayze and its about truckers.  Unless this isn't readily available on DVD, it seems like a must
-Rumble in the Bronx: I don't think Jackie Chan is untouchable, and you might as well riff this piece of crap.  Take out the amazing stunts and you've got a very riffable movie
-The Life of David Gale:  I'm going with the Wickerman as an example of how a boring, unwatchable movie with an incredibly ridiculous ending could be riffed.  One of Kevin Spacey's worst movies.
-Tucker:  The man and his Dream:  Lucas has been associated with some pretty dumb movies other than Star Wars (Ex: Howard the Duck and Willow), but this is really my least favorite because of the build-up for me.  Really, who cares about a failed automobile.
-Moonwalker:  I have no idea why I liked this movie as a child.  Plus, you've got Joe Pesci with a phallic pony tail.  Definitely the movie that started his downward decline mentally

As for five that have been suggested (or not, but who's counting  :) )
Species
Batman and Robin
Constantine
Cool as Ice
Leonard Part 6
Anytime someone offers you 10,000 to 1 odds, you take it.
Lets just say if John Mellancamp ever wins an Oscar, I'll be a rich man.

8)   CIRCLE OF IRON -- think maybe David Carradine could be persuaded to guest riff? I think that would be cool.

You are my new best friend. This would be a great riff. Is it even available on DVD though?

How about the original Ocean's 11? That's a jolly crap-fest of drunken rat-packers.

Bloodsport
The Piano
Mirrormask(!)
Gun Crazy(Japanese 'girls w/guns' film)
Crash(Cronenberg)
2001:A Space Odyssey
Zardoz
The Village
Pi
Purple Rain

This list is more of a challenge than a fav thing.  I'll be running a film screening
night at the club where I work later this year and an audience comment night will
be part of the action!  Boo Yah!

Here's my ten:

1. The X-Files (the 1998 movie)
2. High School Musical
3. National Treasure
4. Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie
5. Van Helsing
6. The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift
7. Armageddon
8. Titanic
9. Independence Day
10. Wild Wild West

(I changed #4 after seeing someone else's suggestion and heartily agreeing.)

ooo, I forgot about Wild Wild West, that would be a great choice.

As far as my Monster Squad suggestion, it is coming out next month on DVD finally, so it will be possible for one soon.  :)

And I had completely forgot about  Omega Doom and Blind Fury, two Rutger Hauer movies that ironically enough are sold in together on 1 two sided disc.

Well, I've notice a certain genre of moives that havent been riffed that would be completly hilarious. I dont know if there is exactly 10, but I will do my best. This is as VIDEO GAME to MOVIE top 10 list.

10. Silent Hill - havent seen this moive, but a rifftrax would change that quick.
9. Mortal Kombat - 4 of the greatist fighters from around the world are chosen by the god of lightning to join a tournament called "Mortal Kombat". Come on, this is prime riffing matterial.
8. Tomb Raider - A bombshell archaeologists goes galavanting around the world in tight cloths. I mean, come on, this is screaming "Come RIFF ME"!!!
7. Resident Evil - People traped in a city over run by zombies? What isnt there to like about this movie (besides that it had very little to do with the actualy characters in the video game)
6.Double Dragon - Wow, two brothers are given powers and......other stuff.....that something to do......with a game.....i think.
5. House of the Dead - based off of a popular first person arcade shooter. Possably one of the worst films ever created.
4. DOOM - starring Dwane "The Rock" Johnson. A special team is sent up to mars to resuce a research team. Based off a freakishly fun windows 98 first person shooter game. I mean, come on....its starring The Rock!
3. Dungeons and Dragons - Starring some people and scar from "The Lion King".
2. Street Fighter: The Movie - all I can say about this is......Jean Claud Van Damn
1. Super Mario Bros: The Movie - need I say more???? Well, in case I do I will. Two plumbers are transferd to a post apocalyptic New York City while trying to save a princess from the evil Denis Hopper. Not to be confused with the game where two plumbers are mysteriously transported to a colorful Mushroom Kingdom where they have to save a princess from the evil Turtle King Bower.

Well, I hope these at least spark some interest or fond (I use that term loosely) memories. I cant wait for the next rifftrax.

Pak-Man

It's been a while since I've rallied for it, so I second Double Dragon. :^)

10. The Postman
"i know you, you're famous"
9. Gladiator
"Am I not merciful!"
8. Lawnmower Man 2: Beyond Cyberspace
"I thought this movie was about finding illegal immigrants to do your yardwork online.  boy was i wrong."
7. Waterworld
"costner at his finest."
6. The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen
"extraordinarily bad movie."
5. Double Impact
"not one, but two jean-claude van damme's... sign me up."
4. Last Action Hero
"insert schwarzenegger movie here"
3. Bloodrayne
"uwe boll... delcious."
2. Mercury Rising
"bruce willis and an autistic kid... gold."
1. The Shadow
"who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men?  apparently alec baldwin does."

You know, sometimes I forget that there are movies out there like Mercury Rising.  I think Bruce is trying to protect the autistic kid from Alec Baldwin, too.

bettertomorrowamy

I bet it is kind of hard to riff on Autism.

Not at all, just look at the Matrix riff, they had no problems making fun of Keanu. (I keed I keed, )

I actually saw 2001 riffed at Balticon (a science fiction convention in Baltimore) one year, by two robots and a guy in a jumpsuit. (Wonder where they got that idea from?)  The film was heavily cut (which MST3K did a lot), and the riffing was uneven, but consider it proof of concept.

I really don't have anything else to say, except:  soundmanmike, that is one fine Avatar.  ;)

Any Harry Potter Film would rock to be riffed...But I'm going to have to say that I would love to see a Bob Jones University Film Riffed (mostly because they are aweful). My 2cents.

Ok, I have a real list now. Movies I'd like to see riffed, in no particular order:

1. Equilibrium - Craptacular Orwellian future romp with gun-fu.
2. Logan's Run - Brilliantly dull 1970's journey to save the 30-75 demographic.
3. Dune (original theatrical release) - So much room to riff...and its the basis of so many other riffs.
4. Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within - just because
5. Starship Troopers - campy enough to be funny on its own, I can see the riffability with all the ultra-violence
6 . Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome - the cheesiest of the series. Tina Turner and Master Blaster are reason enough.
7. Dark City - goofy looking villains and inflatable scenery
8. The 13th Warrior - Vikings!
9. Labyrinth - Bowie in a codpiece. Blossoming Jennifer Connolly.
10. Batman (the Burton one) - just because, as a previous poster mentioned, Burton seems incapable of laughing at himself.
