Melodrama.  Just in general.

I wonder if a good Rifftrax could come of "English Patient" or "Babel"  Hmmmm  :-",

I'm sure there's a few Darkman jokes to be had from The English Patient

And with Willem Dafoe, there's gotta be a few good Green Goblin jokes,  not to mention just general appearance references LOL

The Bog Man

If it's not too much of a cheat, I'd like to offer some wiggle room on my list. Sort of like one of those 'build your own meal' menus at Applebee's.  There's been a lot of great suggestions so far, and I heartily second.

10.  Night of the Demons 2/ One Dark Night/ Grim Prairie Tales; A trio of undeservedly obscure fun little B-horror flicks

9. Doom; A film so bland and half assed it fails to live up to the narrative tapestry of a early 90's first person shooter. What could have been the perfect b-movie shot to hell, only a rifftrack could wring any enjoyment out of it.

8. Billy Jack/The Trial of Billy Jack/ Billy Jack goes to Washington; I think Mike's sort of neo-conservative viewpoints could really dig into this vapid hippie clap trap.

7. The Evil Dead/ Ravenous/Big Trouble in Little China; My three favorite films of all time. Not bad in any way but just so different that I think they lend themselves to humor.

6. The Village/ Bram Stoker's Dracula/The Keep; It's a sad thing when you get a pretentious director mucked up in the horror field. The genre is art because it is primal and real, affectation misses the point entirely.

5.  13 Ghosts/The Tingler/ Mr. Sardonicus; Mike's gone toe to toe with my fav director William Castle before, let's see if he can survive round two. (Life insurance polices are for sale in the lobby.)

4. The Beyond/Zombie; I always found Fulci to be an underrated genius, but I think Mike would find his work absolutely torturous. Like with Manos, I think humor comes from pain

3. Mortal Kombat/ Mortal Kombat Annihilation; I love the first in all its B- Chop -socky splendor. The second should be considered a war crime. Both are imminently riffable

2. BloodRayne/ House of the Dead; Like it or not Mike, you've got to face up to Uwe Boll some time. I'm a callin' you out!

1. Resident Evil/ Resident Evil Apocalypse; Perhaps both the dumbest video game adaptations ever, and some of Mila Jovovich's worst acting. And brother, that's saying something on both counts.

Snoopydance

Gotta add my list to the fray:

1)   DOUBLE AGENT 73 starring the unforgettable Chesty Morgan  :o
Besides Chesty's amazing assets it's just so bad that it's tremendous fun.
2)   LEPRECHAUN -- especially if Jennifer Aniston could/would guest riff (& if not her then Brad Pitt)
3)   THE NOTORIOUS BETTE PAGE -- just 'cuz
4)   A BOY AND HIS DOG -- gotta, just GOTTA have Harlan  Ellison guest riff!!!!!
5)   WILD WILD PLANET or PLANET OF THE VAMPIRES
6)   STRAIGHT TALK with Dolly Parton (hey, if I'm gonna lead with Chesty Morgan I gotta follow through with Dolly!)
7)   KANSAS CITY BOMBER (hey, if I'm gonna follow through with Dolly I gotta sneak in Raquel Welch!)
8)   CIRCLE OF IRON -- think maybe David Carradine could be persuaded to guest riff? I think that would be cool.
9)   ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK or SWAMP THING (hey, if I'm gonna sneak in Raquel Welch I gotta include Adrienne Barbeau!)
10) GREYSTOKE

Wish list of flicks not available on legit DVD...
KILLDOZER
THE GREEN SLIME
PRAY FOR THE WILDCATS --- gotta, gotta, gotta--infinity! Just gotta do this flick! Crummy made-for-TV movie starring Andy Griffith, William Shatner, Robert Reed and Marjoe Gortner! There is just SO much potential in this movie that it can't be ignored!

My 2 cents ... some of these are movies I adore that would still work ...

10. The Fog/Prince of Darkness: More Carpenter, please
9. Quest for Fire - Ooga ooga
8. Vertigo- One of my all time favorites, but demented in surprising ways
7. Dead Again - Great actors, preposterous plot (you could also sub in Brannagh's Frankenstein here)
6. The Running Man - Personal favorite of the crap Governator cannon
5. Purple Rain/Under the Cherry Moon/Graffiti Bridge- Pick one if you dare
4. Death on the NIle- Taking upstaging to a new level.
3. Spice World: the Movie - Not Spice World: the Epic Tone Poem
2. Nothing But Trouble- Have you seen this? Truly, truly scary. I never looked at Dan Aykroyd the same way again.
1. JACK FROST - I shudder to even invoke the name of this monstrosity. Mike would never do it because he'd have to sit through it more than once, and I don't know if that's possible.
I know I shouldn't eat thee ... Mmmm ... sacrilicous.

shiny_jebus

My god, how could I forget Viva Knievel! 1977! Drunk angry Gene Kelly! Dabny Coleman, Tijuana loony bin proprietor! Hammy Leslie Nielsen! Mr. Knievel himself jumping lions in Long Beach, my hometown! I insist, nay, demand this movie be riffed on!

2. Caravan of Courage: An Ewok Adventure (oh yes)
1.Ewoks: The Battle for Endor (evil grin)

I've never had any glaring issues with the Ewoks in RotJ... but the made for TV movies.... wow... I thought they were truly awful when I was 12 years old... and that's saying something because I liked dreck like Thundercats and Voltron back then...

We'll never seem them tackled by Rifftrax in a million years,  well maybe once they handle the remaining four SW theatrical releases... no, it'll never happen... but a very solid suggestion nonetheless.

If they riffed Trolls 2 and Crossroads, I think there could be a fair chance they could riff at least one of the Ewok movies..... right?
Every day of my life I find the wisest and best to fix our attention on the Good and the Beautiful. If you just take the time to look at it.

ig400

And if you think the Ewok movies would be awful, think about the Star Wars holiday special being riffed  >:D

although it would have to come out on dvd first  :speechless: :gouge:

Oh, that's a toughie, but I can come up with some - especially now that TV episodes are fair game.
1. Rollerball 2000 > I loved it, everyone else hates it.  I ask yet again, why???
2. A.I. > It was a challenge to watch this through!  It took a few hours to restore my faith in humanity after seeing this train wreck. :gouge:
3. Xena: Warrior Princes - A Friend In Need (series finale) > When Rob Tapert REALLY loses it! (Gabrielle: "Xena, you're dead???" Riffer: "Not again!!!")  :rimshot:
4. Star Trek 1: TMP > With the lengthy gaps feebly imitating 2001: A Space Odessey, Mike could add a fake conversation or Kevin a sarcastic ditty....
5. War of the Roses > Was that supposed to be funny?  :- I walked out of the theater feeling better after Pearl Harbor.
6. Footloose > I stopped the movie 2/3 of the way through. Can Mike Nelson help me through the rest of this turkey?
7. Dances With Wolves > Another one I stopped 2/3 of the way through - can you help???
8. Moonraker > 007 at its silliest.
9. Superman IV > How can anyone take a Superman movie seriously with Richard Pryor as the co-star and Atari 800 graphics?
10 Yellow Submarine > Let's talk through some issues: those the Beatles had and those we had in watching along.

My dream 10:

...
and my #1 choice for a film that needs to be riffed is....

XANADU!!!!
A Roller Skating Olivia Newton John, Gene Kelly, and that dude from the Warriors ruining his career while rejects from Studio 54 dance around and stuff? Plus it's coming to Broadway as a Broadway show in June. DO THIS ONE PLEASE!!!

Holy cow!  How could I forget this turkey!  I still watch it once in a blue moon for the great music and Olivia Newton-John in her prime. ROWR!

This is an excellent choice for riffing because even I was riffing most of it.

2. Dead Poets Society
...
Ooh, that hits home.  I can't agree with that one.  How does one riff a teen suicide scene anyway??? (yes you could answer without being flamed. :) )

I think that's Superman 3
