This was a gut wrenching loss..
I agree that in a playoffs/Superbowl environment there should be opportunities for both teams to get at least 1 possession and not let the decision be made solely on a coin toss and 1 touchdown and that's the end of the game...
I was so discusted that I couldn't even sleep last night. I'm at work and I feel so fatigued now that when I get home I'm probably going to eat something for a late lunch early dinner and go to bed :-[

As a Chiefs fan, I was elated, but terrible way to end a game even on the winning side.
The wife tried to get me to turn off TV after that last Bills TD and I almost did. And then was expecting Butker to miss the field goal.

For future, I expect Bills will be the team to beat for next fews years. Chiefs are going to have to have good drafts because Maholmes salary is going to keep them for retaining or attracting too many top free agents. Don't think the Chiefs will suddenly become terrible, but a bad draft or two might open the door to some mediocrity.

RVR II

Yeah the Bills won't have much room either after Josh Allen's mega deal last year..
The articles I've read seem to think the Chiefs Bills rivalry will go on throughout this decade and which ever one comes out on top is likely the next Superbowl contender.
I just wish we could win just 1 Superbowl to get the 4 consecutive losses curse off our back :-\

Bills should have another year before really starting to feel salary cap hit of Josh Allen's contract.

Salary cap for 2022 = $208.2 million

Josh Allen salary cap hit:
2021 = $10.2 million
2022 = $16.38 million
2023 = $39.78 million

Compared to

Patrick Malhomes salary cap hit:
2021 = $7.43 million
2022 = $35.79 million
2023 = $46.79 million

RVR II

Ah ok I heard they rolled over some $10 million from last year so they may be alright for next season..

#245
Aaron Rodgers drama already wearing on my nerves. Will always be more a fan of the Chiefs, but have lived long enough in Packer country to have to follow them as my backup. Don't be Favre...retire, outright demand a trade, or commit to return. Stop being a damned diva!

RVR II

Shady Brady and Belicheat should retire as well.
I'm tired of them after the last 2 decades. >:(

ihavemyreasons

So Brady retired and then realized if he waits another week that he'll get another $15 miilion so recinded the retirement for a week. At least that's how I'm interprepting the news.

RVR II

That would make sense. Grab what cash you can then move along.

RVR II

So the Bengals & Rams are going to the Super Bowl :o
Not sure who I'll root for :-\

ihavemyreasons

I think it's safe to say that the Chiefs are starting to look more and more like Andy Reids' Eagles teams. :(
Was really hoping for another Super Bowl win before the window closed and I think this year might have been the best chance for it.

2 teams in Super Bowl are 2 that I have no feelings positive or negative about so going to be tough to get at all excited about the game.

Yeah, as much as I dislike Brady, really can't fault him for this as Tampa Bay had to know this was possible when signing him.

RVR II

Pretty good battle so far between the Rams and Bengals in SuperBowl 56 :o

Not even watching the halftime show ::)

RVR II

WOW! Mathew Stafford gets out of Detroit and gets his first ever SB ring :o

Wouldn't call it a great game as overall it was kind of boring. But close score kept me watching until the end. Half time was timed perfectly - changed channel - watched a half hour show - came back and caught all of the second half and none of half time.
