Now I am getting a 404 error when I use my favorited link forum.rifftrax.com/index.php?action=unread;all;start=0 to see all Unread posts (since there is no link for it anymore on the forum itself).

I was too until I looked at the actual URL. This is what my bookmarks point to:  https://forum.rifftrax.com/forum.rifftrax.com/index.php?action=unread;all

Once I got rid of the extra forum.rifftrax.com it works.

Once I got rid of the extra forum.rifftrax.com it works.

It's something that is happening with the automatic switch to https, I've never seen that happen before, I've set up a few web servers and the option to automatically swap an http request over to https shouldn't change the text of the link...

So if you use this old bookmark:

http://forum.rifftrax.com/index.php?action=unread;all

It will automatically change to:

https://forum.rifftrax.com/forum.rifftrax.com/index.php?action=unread;all

But if you just edit your bookmark and add the "s" it works fine:

https://forum.rifftrax.com/index.php?action=unread;all

The same thing happens if you use the unreadreplies link:

http://forum.rifftrax.com/index.php?action=unreadreplies;start=0

Seems to be something in index.php that is doing it, since the link without it works fine and simply gets changed to https:

http://forum.rifftrax.com/

Thanks, that worked!

Yeah I had to reset the link on my phone.

Looks like we lost the Likes again..
I see Torgo's was working on the forum and the Likes must've been causing problems :-X

The forum is loading much faster without them so maybe they have been an issue for a while?

It was kind of funny all weekend with the system telling you to log out but when I would hit the logout button the same error would pop up saying to log out.

I've upgraded the Forum software to the latest version of SMF (2.0.18) which is a few minor versions newer. Every time we do that we need to also re-install the Mods, but luckily that is a pretty simple process nowadays. Therefore the Likes and Spoiler tags are all back!

Also we're now on PHP 7.4 which is much faster, and I've gone and made a few other tweaks to hopefully improve performance "across the board."

Hmm, they're showing up for me, next to the "Quote" button in the top of each post/comment. What are you seeing there instead?

I'm seeing the red heart in Chrome but nothing at all in Firefox.

Grabbing the link for the image in Chrome and pasting it into Firefox gives a 404 not found error, weird...

Hopefully these improvements might bring some members back as the visits and posts have really dropped off this year..
New members seem to still be joining but so are the spammers which I will continue to 'filter out' as I discover them 8)

For some reason our connection to the database keeps going away. I'm going to send a support ticket into our hosting folks to see what's going on there. Sorry about that!
