MST3K Season 13 Kickstarter launches April 7

I assume we will be getting a new theme song too.

[Pak-Man]

Yeah, we'd need one anyway because of the new host situation and storyline. Maybe they'll have the hosts duet their own parts of the theme song.

I think we hear a bit of the theme song sung by Jonah in the first video, so I would assume that's coming. But I'm curious if it will also use a Joel theme song and an Emily one, of if there will be a theme that covers all of them.

Joel could probably reuse his old one, but I assume they would want to refilm the video portion due to it be SD/not widescreen and to have current Mads rather than Frank and Forrester.

It's Hobgoblins.

"Luckily" we have to work from home this week due to a Covid community transmission, so I'm able to watch it while I work.

At the end of the livestream, it was announced Mary Jo would be guesting on the next livestream on Friday.  Since she and other Rifftrax folks haven't mentioned the Kickstarter yet on social media, it makes me wonder if more Rifftrax-related guests will be coming in gradually as surprises.

The Hobgoblins livestream was awesome, and here's 5 more! (With special guests!)

Monday night will have a livestream in which the Jonah crew and the Emily crew play Jackbox. There will also be a telethon on Friday. May 7th.

Why does Joel always time this stuff when I am broke or worried about money and least able to help!!

[Pak-Man]

The official approved Kickstarter line is if you can't help financially, help by spreading the word. Make sure people know. I've been wearing my MST3K shirt whenever I go on supply runs (That's my COVID term for "Grocery Shopping") and mentioning the Kickstarter whenever anyone shows recognition.

Personally, I have a little spending cash and have my sights set on the Blu-ray set, although I might cave in and go for the snow globe before it's all done.

In case not everyone has seen it:

Updates to the livestream schedule. Tomorrow's stream will be a couple hours later, and Sunday is being moved to Wednesday so Joel can take a deserved break. Also the last 2 streams will be Werewolf with Bill Corbett (!) and Zombie Nightmare with Jonah Ray.

[The Lurker]

Ah yes, Werewolf.  The one that has the woman with the ambiguously European accent that changes how she pronounces werewolf every so often.

Today's update announced that J Elvis Weinstein will be back as Dr. Erhardt as well as writing on the new season. I suspect he might also be announced as the voice of Tom Servo for Joel's experiment(s) when the campaign hits $4.4 million.

Also, Beez is back as the puppet and human costume designer.
