Some people apparently consider '28 Weeks Later' to be anti-American propaganda, people read things into movies they want to see.

I just thought it was total crap especially after hearing how "amazing" it was for years, I actually stopped seeing the girl who made me watch it because it was that bad (that reminds me, I should start a 'deal breakers' thread).

Which movie are you talking about? 28 Weeks has only been out about a month.

Forrest Gump, the movie I was replying to in the post above mine.

The Oscars is one of the most overrated ceremonies of all time. You notice how long it took for them to give Martin Scorsese an Academy Award? And directors like Orson Welles, Kubrick, Alfred Hitchcock, never even received Oscars! But guess who sweeps the Academy Awards? PETER JACKSON!!! AAAAH!
This iRiff will only be on sale for another few hours. Get it while it's cheap!

The worst movie I saw in recent memory has to be "Being John Malkovich". Sure, it's odd and quirky but that doesn't make for a good film, especially when the main characters behave like such mean-spirited douche bags.

I LOVE Being John Malkovich.

Monster a go-go or The crazy mixed up etc, etc must surely vie for the position of worst movies of all time.  No only are they as boring as Manos, they are even more poorly made.  I mean come on, making the telephone ring noise with your mouth and then answering it?  How poor is that?

I am hoping the fake telephone ring was just something that the foley artist forgot to fix and the director REALLY did not plan that on purpose.  I am still puzzled by the "a go-go" part of the title.    Where was this promised "a go-go"?    Was the name supposed to bring rock and roll lovers to the theater?    This might be the worst movie ever made.   I want to say one of the many horrible Jerry Bruckheimer films, but there is no way I can claim they were worse than Monster a go-go.    It made a great MST3K episode, but I will have say this was the worst movie ever made.

It made Feeders 1 and 2 look brilliant.

What do you have against Peter Jackson??   Just kidding,  please don't answer that.   Anyway for me it would have to be "Dude, Where's My Car?"  I can't stand Sean William Scott or Ashton Kutcher and I didn't find a single thing in this movie funny.  Not one.   I would gladly watch House of the Dead 6 times before watching this one again.  And House of the Dead is my second worst movie of all time.
