See? John Waters was right: knowing how terrible it is sucks all the fun out of it.

Battlefield Earth is one of the worst movies I ever saw.

I think Dwain Esper's Maniac still holds out as being the most God-awful waste of time I've ever forced myself to endure. (The 1934 exploitation film. Not to be confused with the excellent gory slasher flick starring Joe Spinell.)

That one wasn't necessarily a good movie, but it had some funny moments.
This iRiff will only be on sale for another few hours. Get it while it's cheap!

Are you two about to go at it again? 'Cause it's totally hot when you do that.

I guess Troll 2, BE and glitter are up there..(down there?)...

and probably something like Baby Geniuses...2

I'd have to say Crossroads and Glitter were two of the worst movies I've ever seen. And thanks to Rifftrax, I had to watch them! After successfully avoiding them for years, too. My record is now ruined.

Along Came Polly was also one of the worst. I have no idea if it's only me and Pak that hated it as much as we do (I'm loathed to ever research it), but I went on good faith per my coworkers to see it and haven't spoken to them since.

J-Proof

STARRY NIGHT, some made for tv movie that Uncle Rufus lent me, is by FAR the worst movie I've ever seen.... It's pieced together SO poorly that it isn't even a good-bad movie, just a frustratingly horrible one.
J to the Pizzo
P to the Jizzay...

Wendel

Island of Dr. Moreau (1996)

Hands down the worst use of film in the entire 20th century.
The ony thing that saved this from the bowles of hell is that is spawned a good charecter for South Park.
And that's all the foreshadowing we can afford.

Ok, I guess Saving Silverman isn't the "worst" movie ever... but it's funny moments were all in the trailer and/or TV spots. I guess it was maybe the most disappointing movie I've seen in the theater... and I didn't exactly have huge expectations for the thing.

As far as Forrest Gump... I know some people love to jump onto the laughable conspiracy theories... "OMG! If you are a free spirit like Jenny you get AIDS and die! Just be a conforming idiot like Forrest and you will be rich! They are so mean to the hippies!". I'll admit, it's a little hamfisted with some of the aspects of Jenny's lifestyle... and maybe it's a bit overrated... but worst ever?  Say what you will about the script... but I'll always respect it just for great turns by all the actors. The scene where Gump learns he's a father and you instantly realize he's thinking about whether his son is "slow" as well... Hanks pulls it off flawlessly, without saying a word... just a couple of subtle, split second facial expressions.... it's impressive stuff... and Hanks has a lot of little moments like that throughout the movie.

Some people apparently consider '28 Weeks Later' to be anti-American propaganda, people read things into movies they want to see.

I just thought it was total crap especially after hearing how "amazing" it was for years, I actually stopped seeing the girl who made me watch it because it was that bad (that reminds me, I should start a 'deal breakers' thread).

I'll agree that it's an overrated movie. I could understand it getting some Oscar noms for Hanks, Senise and Zemeckis... but  I never thought it was "Best Picture" material... next to Pulp Fiction, Shawshank or even Quiz Show.

"Deal Breakers"... nice idea for a thread.
