Jeez, did you not read what Ortega posted.  This is exactly what he was talking about.
SUBJECTIVE
Oh right, like I'll totally take speeches from the cock ring master.

David Fincher= terrible director who would never get any vote because all the smart, intelligent and brilliant people like BTA and ScottH hate all of David Fincher's films because they are so fucking smart due to their incredible intelligence and good taste in rugs.
Joel and Ethan Coen = Geniuses
Make a stand and vote for the movie you like the most.... THE BIG LEBOWSKI
Fixed.  :P

When did Ortega become the Cock Ring Master?  ....and how do I win back the belt?

I am sure it's quite clear that you are the winner and permanent owner of the championship belt.  ;)

My problems with Lebowski are that it's pretty bland in a sense. Mediocore? I mean the plot is nothing special. The progression of the movie never changes that much really. Fight Club on the other hand is a pretty epic movie that is solely character driven. Has one of the few amazing performances of Brad Pitt, and helped launched the career of an already rising star in Norton.

Your opinion is fair and I know where you're coming from but "The Big Lebowski" is anything but mediocre.  Most of the laughs that come from it are subtle to begin with, and add in the movies own quirky dialogue and it's easy for some people to "not get it" as a film.  The progression of the film doesn't change that much because it simply doesn't have to and it's just as much about the conversations between the main characters as it is the plot.  Also, the plot is without a doubt better than a lot of  gang/mobster movies that tried to accomplish the same thing with the twists involved.  I'm not bashing you on this at all, but if you can't see the movie for what it is, and for how great it is, then you just haven't seen it enough times to fully appreciate it.

Again, don't get me wrong on this because I totally agree with what you said about Fight Club and it is one of my all time favorite movies as well, but if it's put up against Lebowski, in my book at least, it doesn't stand a chance.

I've seen the movie enough times. I mean I have cable. It's just "cult status" is indeed the right word for it. We are voting for best movie of all time, not favorite. From a film stand point I feel that Fight Club is better. I mean I love John Goodman to bits but that doesn't change the fact that both Pitt and Norton had more to work with than him(script wise) and because they both pulled it off, did a better job, comparatively speaking. At least with those two films. In the end one of the things that plays into a movie being a great film is the accessibility to it. Which is another reason I went for Fight Club.
Round about now! Since they say! I am the sexiest man in Jamaica!

I want Fight Club to win for reasons other than it being the better movie now.

- how I read any complaint about MST3k (or Star Wars or Ghostbusters)

Now he can re-register and vote Lebowski again.

The only thing that will make me competitive is someone being a prick if they don't think they're winning (or losing)

I want fight club to win now too.

I'm starting to think "Guest" was kind of a prude.

Damn, I almost missed this vote. Looks like I just split the vote down the middle there. I enjoyed Fight Club a lot more as a book than the movie although the movie was pretty good as well. The Big Lebowski has my vote, damned clever movie. I couldn't keep up with all the subtleties in the dialogue the first time I watched it.

Probabaly, I thought a lot of that would go on with this one.

Asbestos Bill

I saw that Fight Club was one away from tieing so I figured that, despite not having seen The Big Lebowski, it could not possibly be good enough to keep me from making this a stalemate.

GregMcduck

That's the third tie for round one. You guys sure are fucking up the brackets for Round two.  ;)

Wow, way to be a total asshole about it.  If you haven't seen one of the two movies then either watch it, or don't vote.
