Any chance of finding out what the Christmas Rifftrax will be?

Mike, if you're reading this, you absolutly HAVE to riff Rudolf the Red nose reigndeer. I would be just down right hilarious.

Keep in mind, there are different cuts of Rudolph, but I'm pretty sure most (if not all) of the current DVD releases have the most recent, complete cut of the special. For instance, some versions on TV used to cut out the choir sequence, and even farther back, the 'Why am I such a Misfit' song was replaced with something called 'Fame and Fortune'.

I was about to shout out "The 1985 Santa Claus, with Dudley Moore and Burgess Meredith and other people I can't remember!"

A sled that's powered by "special" candy canes? How can you beat that?

And, isn't that the one with the Puce Pops?  And I think John Lithgow, at his John Lithgowiest?

I have a VHS copy that I purchased 7 or 8 years ago that is the complete version. I remember watching it the first time and was shocked when I saw the *missing scenes* that I had never seen before in the broadcast version.

Same here.  When I took a look at the copy of Rudolph I got in my DVD set last year, it had the 'Fame and Fortune' song as a deleted scene.  The creepy part is, the song seemed vaguely familiar, so it's entirely possibly I actually watched the cut with that scene in it at some point or another.

The very same (and even now I can't forget Burgess Meredith as the wise old elf with the mile-long moustache).  I think the funniest thing is the fact that it's produced by none other than the Salkinds, the same guys who produced the Superman series.  Hmmm.... that actually makes sense, now that I think about it...

Yes.

So does that mean that the next Rifftrax will be the Christmas Rifftrax?  Cause I am so ready to plop my money down on the Rudolph/Frosty DVD pack.

No.

Even better! :)

SecretAgentSuperDragon

We all know its gonna be Jingle All the Way.
It got the most votes.

Pak-Man

That means nothing. Alien got the most votes for Halloween movie. :^)

SecretAgentSuperDragon

Alien didn't belong in the Halloween movie poll to begin with. Last time I checked, it didn't go around the ship saying "Trick Or Treat". :D

I still think that Jingle All the Way (despite how awful it is) would be hard to riff because technically it is a comedy, even if it's a groan-every-five-seconds comedy.  As Mike pointed out, if he riffed a comedy it might just end up being him criticising the jokes for the entire movie.

I was sort of resistant to the Rankin/Bass idea to begin with, but I think I'm starting to warm up to the though of Mike riffing the Xmas TV classics.  I think they all have some riffability.

In the remastered Porteguese language one...it did. Avaliable for only $99.99 in this limited edition 18 disc box set.
These films are in the running for the most re-released DVD versions ever. Lord of the Rings probably wins that though. Three distinct sets of the same films released and the movies are barely 5 years old or something?
Star Wars will win over time, but at least they have a 30 year head start...
Grapes? I hate grapes, I can't stand grapes. I loathe grapes. All kinds of grapes. I hate green grapes and I hate purple grapes. I hate grapes with seeds, I hate grapes without seeds. I hate them peeled and nonpeeled. I hate them in bunches, one at a time and in small groups of twos and threes.

Why do they feel the need to keep rereleasing after the Quadrilogy set? If they'd named it with a real word (such as, I don't know, tetralogy) it would have been pretty much perfect.
