Any chance of finding out what the Christmas Rifftrax will be?

Best Buy will be having a sale on Christmas related DVD's this week, and it sure would be nice to know in advance what the Christmas themed Rifftrax is going to be, so that we can take advantage of the sale prices!  Personally, I think a special holiday double feature of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and Frosty The Snowman would be swell!  Perfect for the whole family!

Hmmm...I'm picturing the Fan Art now.  Mike as Heat Miser, Bill as Cold Miser, Kevin as the Burl Ives snowman.  Bring it on!

Rudolph would be great. The effeminate, dentist elf is ripe for the riffing.  Even as a kid I watched this movie and thought, "huh?"

What is the movie where the rat breaks the clock?  They sing "Christmas bells are calling Santa, Santa.  Come on old Kris Kringle, jump the milky way."  That one would be good too.  That movie was so cheesy.

I was about to shout out "The 1985 Santa Claus, with Dudley Moore and Burgess Meredith and other people I can't remember!"

But ... um ... hypothetically, doesn't "Eyes Wide Shut" count as a Christmas movie?  I mean, you know, Christmas lights, and holiday parties, and F.A.O. Schwartz and everything?

I believe that would be 'Twas the Night Before Christmas.  Not a creature was stirring, except for Albert Mouse.

Mice kids these days, with their iPods, and their electric skateboards, and their not believin' in Santa Claus...

Actually, there's a nicely packaged set of DVDs that you can get that have Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, Frosty the Snowman, Frosty Returns, Little Drummer Boy, Santa Claus is Coming to Town and an awful, awful CD of music.

My vote is on Santa Claus is Coming To Town - I re-watched it recently and it has so many um, funny moments.  Like the song about the kids sitting on his knee:

Oh, what a good girl
Oh, what a good boy
Oh what a big smile
All because of a toy!

If you sit on my lap today
A kiss a toy is the price you'll pay
When you tell what you wish for --
In a whisper
Be prepared to pay.

If you sit on my lap today
A kiss a toy is the price you'll pay
When you sit on my left knee
Don't be stingy
Be prepared to pay.

If whenever you take
You give a little back
Then whoever you love
Will give a little love back
So give a little love
Get a little love back
Don't you have a little love
That you want to get back

If you sit on his lap today
A kiss a toy is the price you'll pay
When you sit on his left knee
Don't be stingy
Be prepared to pay.

Now if you sit on my lap today
A kiss a toy is the price you'll pay!

That song just fills me with dread, truthfully.  *sigh*  SO much evil in the world.  SO much evil.

A Riff of Rudolph would be priceless. Take that, warm childhood memories!

I would also like to know which one is going to be done for Christmas before the sales are over.
I enjoy the puzzles and such, but a quick 20 questions will do.
I agree with my brother, Rudolph and Frosty would be great. I think I rather see them than Jingle all the Way or Its a Wonderful Life.

I do enjoy the end of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, when one of the elves drops the bird that can't fly to its death.

A sled that's powered by "special" candy canes? How can you beat that?

AmandaGal

Santa Claus with Dudley Moore is one of the many movies I used to love as a kid.  There's no accounting for taste.  I do love Dudley Moore but the movie has every Christmas cliche imaginable: evil toymaker, dissatisfied elf, delinquent kid turned good, goody two shoes kid, saving Christmas and all that jazz.  I especially enjoy the "elf explanatory" type jokes.  It really is a fun movie though.

I think the special reindeer powder shows what inspired the writers.

I remember that movie! I used to love watching that as a kid.

BTW, anybody here remember the movie Prancer? It was an...odd, but good movie (from what I remember anyway).

Phantom of Krankor

Mike, if you're reading this, you absolutly HAVE to riff Rudolf the Red nose reigndeer. I would be just down right hilarious.
I am Ambassador Phantom, from the planet Krankor! I am rapidly approaching your planet... in the warship, which you have just seen. I will arrive tomorrow night at precisely eight o'clock. At that time I shall make my wishes known to you. You will obey them... or die! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA!
