I like the idea of Baron Cohen being Holmes for some reason, but I get a little jittery when I think about Ferell playing Watson.  I just hope he can rein himself in.

I can sort of see Ferell doing it ok, he could possibly call upon the right levels of stodgyness needed.

He just needs to tap his inner James Lipton and Alex Trebek and things should be just fine.

Big news on the Holmes front.  Hot young starlet Robert Downey Jr is taking full advantage of that Iron Man "muscle" apparently.

Still don't like Guy Ritchie.  A bit disheartening to see Joel Silver's name attached to it as well.  Bring on the assplosions, I guess.

Still and all though, RDjr is always good news.

QuoteThe basis for the film is Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's classic tales, but also the comic book "Sherlock Holmes."

Say what now  ???

I tried to find out what that is exactly and I'm banjaxed. The only one I could think of is this:

But somehow I think it is probably something a little more recent and quirky.

Doktor Sleepless

At least it isn't Zack Snyder doing Watchmen bad.
Round about now! Since they say! I am the sexiest man in Jamaica!

..or it could be Del Toro doing The Hobbit great, just to compare it to another movie you haven't seen.

This is going to suck.
Probably going to look like a remake of From Hell.

Not bad so much just.....not really needed.

Doctor Who?

Will Farell as Holmes?!

THAT'S IT i'M NUKING HOLLYWOOD!       :spammer: :spammer: :spammer: :spammer: :grr: :grr: :grr: :grr: :spammer: :spammer: :spammer:    :grr: :grr: :grr:

Doctor Who?

Can you blame me?

I have been reading Holmes book since I was a kid this is the worst news I could read.

What the hell is bad about Zack Snyder doing Watchmen? I'd agree if you said Frank Miller doing the Spirit. Those are strange bedfellows. Snyder and Watchmen are the perfect match. Robert Rodriguez would have been fine too. Anyone who pretends to make movies by filming each panel is the only person to do Watchmen. Sheesh.

Will Ferrell is too tall for Watson.

Doctor Who?

The only way i want to see Will farell in a Homes movie is as a corpse.

The Watson opposite Basil Rathbone's Holmes was a little bit of a buffoon too, so I'm not too worried about Ferrell.  As long as he's not allowed to be too much like his other roles, I could see it working.
