I LOVED Scary Movie 3.  But 4 is unwatchable.
Wow...I thought 4 put together the best "plotline" with all of those movies (and did a great job ripping WotW and Tom Cruise)...

That long, ponderous Eight Mile bit in Scary Movie 3 made me want to scream....and not in a good way.

Hee hee.. scream...

I really liked how SM3 wove the plots of Signs and The Ring.  The Eight Mile bit did go on too long, but it gave one of the characters some depth.  It added to character's evolution.  Plus Simon's cameo was pretty damn funny.

4 made me weep for Bill Pullman.  He probably wept for himself a bit there too.

At least they're both better than SM2...

"Let's take one movie that no one wanted to sit through 80 minutes of in the first place (The Haunting) and re-create it scene by scene and try to wring a joke out of all of it even if there's absolutely none to be had...!"

But rent SM4 - The Unrated Version...there's extra scenes in there that are good.

I don't know....Abraham, Zucker and Zucker gave him his big break in Ruthless People.   I mean, did you see what he did in that?   ;)

Scary Movie 3 is the better of the two, but it's only decent.

Anything making fun of the great white dope is fine by me.

Scary Movie 2 is better than either of Zucker's entries.

I guess no one has an opinion of the first Scary Movie...

Because that one's just a given...it was good...mainly because of the way it goofed not just on the movie(s) but on the stock character types.

These others...it's kind of the same characters running into other situations and the situations have to make the comedy.

and now... the plot, if these movies even have one
QuoteI realize that these silly spoof movies don't actually have a plot and to prove it, Lionsgate has released the official synopsis for "Disaster Movie." The new film is written and directed by Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer, the duo behind "Date Movie," "Epic Movie" and "Meet the Spartans."

"In DISASTER MOVIE, the filmmaking team behind the hits "Scary Movie," "Date Movie," "Epic Movie" and "Meet The Spartans" this time puts its unique, inimitable stamp on one of the biggest and most bloated movie genres of all time – the disaster film.

DISASTER MOVIE follows the comic misadventures of a group of ridiculously attractive twenty-somethings during one fateful night as they try to make their way to safety while every known natural disaster and catastrophic event - asteroids, twisters, earthquakes, the works – hits the city and their path as they try to solve a series of mysteries to end the rampant destruction.

Taking aim at everything and everyone, from "Indiana Jones" and "Iron Man" to Amy Winehouse and High School Musical, DISASTER MOVIE lampoons the blockbuster movie, pop culture icons and public figures along the way as Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer satirize everything as only they can.

DISASTER MOVIE stars the dynamic cast of Matt Lanter, Vanessa Minnillo, Kim Kardashian, G Thang, and Carmen Electra. Written, directed and produced by Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer and produced by Peter Safran, DISASTER MOVIE will be released nationwide on August 29, 2008."

QuoteA fourth poster for the upcoming "Disaster Movie" has hit the net, this time featuring meteors in the shape of sperm flying toward Earth, which is in the shape of an egg. The tagline states: "Better get off quick."

Dim of the Yard

Oh, I get it, because it looks like a sex ed tape!  Ahahahahaha!  (  :grr: )

Well, one thing about this movie that none of the others had was the ability to get the Galaxy Song stuck in my head.
