I'm thinking an introduction of the black cat....

Mike, take that back.

No, I know you mean well, Black Cat's hot as anything, but think:
BC is already the poor man's Catwoman. They movied Catwoman into Halle Berry embarrasing herself, dressed as a cheap whore.
Do you really see a movied Black Cat going well?
Unless you can totally turn off your brain during a film, I don't think you really want Movie Black Cat, no matter what sexy Jessica they dress up in leather.

Oh, and meanwhile, you'd have several awkward scenes, including one where MJ sees Spidey and Cat being intimate, and she'll cry. And then Peter will cry. And then Blackcat will cry. And then Sandman will make a guest appearence to cry.

but then MJ and the black cat start fighting, and the cats suit gets torn, suddenly the desparate struggle turns more into an embrace.........I gotta go (I'm thinking jennifer love hewitte btw ;D)

.... no, you're asking them to do an entierly different movie. As long as it's still Spiderman, it'll be about awkward affairs and crying.

mike5150

along with great power comes a great sensitivity ;D

Meanwhile, let's try to get YOUR movie made. The Hollywood Jessicas in latex vs the Hollywood Jennifers in bikinis!

I hope they use 4 and 5 to finally find Uncle Ben's real killer.

Maybe they'll retcon somebody who witnessed the shooting to come forward and say there was a THIRD man, and it was Jonah Jamison - who put Sandman up to it because he knew that one day that man's nephew was going to be the evil Spider-Man, and he wanted there to be lots of news stories for his paper to write about it.

It all makes perfect sense.

I believe this makes more sense

I think Kraven would be cool, then they could have a flash back to him on a rooftop, pointing his sniper rifle at Uncle Ben because the King Pin put a hit out on him, for some reason, they can figure it out later
;D

that way Kraven is the villain, and the story line can be spread across 2 films

In my dream-like thinking I am seeing the Spider-man series receive the Batman treatment.

Spider-man 4:

The Venom symbiote survives the death of Eddie Brock and attaches itself to a new host creating the super villain CARNAGE!!  Who is ten times stronger than Spidey, immune to his spider sense, and retains all the hate and anger from Brock's memory.  As with the Joker, for which Carnage was inspired by, the new host is a mental hospital escapee. This would make for a great internal struggle between Brock's revenge on Spidey and the host's own chaotic logic! :gouge: >:D

Of course Mr. Nolan would direct with his Bro scripting (sorry Vanderbilt your script just got canned).

Bruce Campbell (God bless his underused talent) as Carnage.  Who better to portray internal mental conflict!
Sam Raimi would be given a sentimental cameo as a garbage collector  >:D
And of course Mary Jane is seduced by Carnage/Bruce giving Spidey a battle on two-fronts!!  Win back Mary Jane's heart by being cooler than Bruce Campbell (good luck on that one!) and defeating Carnage, a villain that is stronger, faster, and just plain deadlier than any he has ever faced.

Check out these abilities granted by the Carnage symbiote:

Superhuman physical attributes
Shape-shifting
Able to create blades, webbing and projectiles from symbiotic costume
Accelerated healing factor
Immunity to Spider-Man's "spider-sense"
Ability to feed on victims by physical contact >:D (my personal favorite!)

Spider-man 5:

Introduction of Morbius, ala Maximum Carnage crossover series!  Carnage symbiote comes back and teams up with Morbius.  This alliance is very unstable and can lead to Morbius actually helping Spidey defeat the crazed Carnage (this may be to similar to the Spider-man 3 plot but by now no one remembers anyhoo.)

Morbius to be played by Gary Oldman.
The Carnage symbiote may or may not take a new host.  If Bruce is killed off in the 4th one then I would say a younger host would work good for the friction between Morbius and Carnage.

Well, what do you guys think?  Am I crazy wishful or what?! :scared:

Chaos

For the life of me I can't think of a Spider-Man villain that isn't a crossover villain that would actually make a GOOD movie. They ruined the only one that was even remotely worthwhile (Venom).

I just can't get excited about 2 more movies filled with whining and crying and obscure, badly executed villains.

I never thought Venom could translate to the screen as well as he did, and he didn't translate all that well.
Doc Ock was pretty cool, even if i still can't understand how he suddenly developed the ability to take direct punches to the face by a guy with the propotional strength and speed of a spider.
Sandman was a bad CGI sack of sad.
And Green Goblin? Yikes.

My money's on Lizard, at least in terms of his potential as a good villain. And because he really doesn't mean to be a villain, there's plenty of cry-time to be had.

In any case, they really need to try something new with the whole "kidnap MJ" thing. What, he can't stay modivated unless his girlfriend's in peril? HE'S FRIGGIN SPIDER MAN! YOU COULD DRAW HIM OUT BY KIDNAPPING A FAT WOMAN COMING HOME FROM BINGO! IT'S KINDA WHAT HE DOES!

Pak-Man

Why not bring on the Sinister Six? Or they could go with the Clone Saga (The ultimate version).

Cosmic Muse

I just wish that Marvel could get the rights for the Spidey franchise back from Sony so, like the Hulk, they can restart the franchise and do Venom justice.
Being a genocidal maniac is not one of my turn ons.

Is it weird to hear the Safety Dance in my head watching Game of Thrones?

Quote"Spider-Man 4" scoops are all over the internet these days, and today, we have a casting one. LatinoReview reports that through some of their trusted sources, they have been able to find out two names at the top of the list for the role of Peter Parker/Spider-Man.

Even though no offers have been made (yet), the actor currently rumored to take over for Tobey Maguire is Patrick Fugit, who last starred in "Wristcutters" and had his breakout performance in "Almost Famous."

If Fugit doesn't work out, the studio is also looking at Michael Angarano, who played a superhero in "Sky High" and was recently seen on the big screen with Jackie Chan and Jet Li in "The Forbidden Kingdom." Angarano even auditioned for a role in "Justice League of America."

Whether the studio will go with Fugit, Angarano or someone else, it is looking more and more likely that "Spider-Man 4" and "Spider-Man 5" will be shot simultaneously. Stay tuned.

Fugit certainly fits the mold of a Peter Parker, though I'm not entirely convinced of his ability after seeing a few of his films.

Courtney

Sky High is a secret love of mine, and Angarano was great as Jack's son on Will & Grace.  But he's VERY young and I don't really see him as a superhero outside of a Disney movie.

You can place my money on the top of yours, Junkyard. It's about time Connors gets to shine.

I'm still annoyed with the death of the Green Goblin in the first film for which destroyed the significance of the Gwen Stacy's death storyline. Why didn't they do that right from the outset? It's perfect.

And with that on my mind, can MJ go backpacking in Europe for the next movie? I never dreamed I would've become remotely antipathetic towards the Spiderman film franchise and am there. It sucks.

How about Kraven, Pak-Man?
