Spider-Man 4........ and 5

Cinematical is reporting that James Vanderbilt (Zodiac) has completed and turned in a working draft for "Spider-Man 4" to the studio. What's interesting is the fact that the same draft opens up possibilities for a fifth film as well.

"His story arc has encompassed two films, making 'Spider-Man 5' shootable at the same time," said the site's source. "The studio saw dollar signs and is in the process of reworking his deal to snatch up the story arc."

At this point, it is not clear what the arc is or whether production will begin in the near future. Both sides are apparently still trying to negotiate the deal, but the goal is to shoot the fourth and fifth films simultaneously.

Good God. Logically we can conclude that there will just be more crying with each movie, so 5 is just gonna be Peter, Aunt May, Mary Jane, and the villain blubbering from start to finish.

Well, maybe it will finally be our chance to see The Vulture or Kraven the Hunter get their proper, Epic two movie treatment.

My vote would be for Lizard as well. Beyond that, MAYBE Mysterio. He doesn't really have anybody else worth commiting to film.

Personally, I'm surprised we haven't gotten Rhino yet. He's the kind of villain that people in Hollywood would THINK the audiences would respond well to. He certainly shows up in the video games a lot.

Frankly, I've still never been able to figure out why the holy hell anyone thought the Green Goblin would be a great villain to kick off the franchise with.

Yeah, if Mary Jane gets a symbiote it'll just amplify her own natural powers to fall off high places and provide young-adult angst to those around her.

alls I knows is : I hope aunt may has a whole lot of loonngg stories to tell and mary jane has a whole lot of personal conflicts AND and peter parker gets his mask destroyed and doesnt actually do alot as spider man........oh and some more dancing, that would be awsome:)........also, on top of being a pretty good jazz pianist, they should have him play another instrument. (guitar, or maybe the drums).

Maybe they'll retcon somebody who witnessed the shooting to come forward and say there was a THIRD man, and it was Jonah Jamison - who put Sandman up to it because he knew that one day that man's nephew was going to be the evil Spider-Man, and he wanted there to be lots of news stories for his paper to write about it.

It all makes perfect sense.
