Sweet Sweetback is not actually blaxploitation, though, considering that the director actually is black. I'd also recommend The Story of a Three-Day Pass, Don't Play Us Cheap and Watermelon Man from Brer Soul. As far as "blaxploitation" goes, hit up Ralph Bakshi's Coonskin (Streetfight) for some satire on the genre, and Coffy and Foxy Brown for actual blaxploitation.
