Argh.  I hate making these lists, as I will invariably leave something essential out on account of me being totally addle-brained when I'm at work.  Also, a lot of the good ones have already been mentioned (though I will presume to second the recommendations for both Caddyshack and Dawn of the Dead.)

Oh, well, here are ten more, in no particular order:

The Jerk
Babe
Suspiria
The Incredibles
The Breakfast Club
Animal House
It's a Wonderful Life or Mr. Smith Goes to Washington (assuming you, like everyone else in the world, have seen the former)
Poltergeist
Trading Places
Being There

Ok it's past the deadline but I was steaming Asparagus and missed the deadline myself so I'll allow it.

Alright the first wave of the list is closed, give me a mo and I'll compile the viewing list.

anyway sorry I'm late, class ran long, anyway the shocking revelation is............................... no one recommended Star Wars!!!............... again

I feel like no one's ever recommended it to you because it's never occurred to anyone that there exists a human being who hasn't seen it.  It would be like saying "you know what you should totally start drinking?  Water."

Ok Here we go:

Look Downward Angel, no need to clutter the thread with multiple iterations.

I included bout of Steve's Capra suggestions because with Jacob it's best not to assume ;)

Did I miss any?

Wait, is School for Scoundrels actually on the list?  I though Faith was just saying she was watching it.  And it was terrible.

And that's the one I'm talking about. The books it's based on are great as well :)

OOOOOOHHHH, the original, gotcha.  Somehow forgot about that one.  She mentioned it in context with Napoleon Dynamite so I assumed it was that one.

mrbasehart

So he has to watch Ghostbusters twice? ;)

He will watch it over and over for as we know it's one of the greatest achievements of film maker like ever.

Also I know the "The" in many title screwed up the alphabetizing, Excel what're you going to do?

I think it was just the john Heder connection :)

Off subject, but does anyone else think that the subject line of this thread sounds like it would be the title of a film in which a young man is educated in the carnal ways by an older woman?

Or by Michael Caine :speechless:

I like Courtney's version better.
