Movies you only watch Riffed

What movies have you only seen with Rifftraxs?  (Hmmm, is the plural to that spelled "rifftraxs" or "rifftraxes"?)

Cloverfield is going to mark the fourth such movie for me because I absolutely refuse to watch a movie I know I'm not going to like (I'm not saying the movies in question suck, I'm just not into those kinds of movies), and if Rifftrax had never been invented I'd never see them at all.  Now, before some of you start talking about "um, how can you appreciate all the jokes if you haven't seen the movie first?" let me ask you this:  How many of the 200 plus movies that appeared on MST3K had you seen beforehand?  (Only one for me, LaserBlast)  Did this in any way hurt your appreciation for and enjoyment of that old series?

So anyway, the movies I had never seen and never would see without Rifftrax are now: Cloverfield, Transformers, Beowolf, and 300.

How about you?

Well, basically all of the bottom of the barrel bad movies for me.  Troll 2, Cocktail, Over the Top, and Battlefield Earth come to mind.

Neither.  Technically, I believe that when a word that's a brandname ends with the letter X both the singular and plural spellings for that word are the same.  Meaning that "I listened to a Rifftrax." and "I've listened to 3 Rifftrax." are both correct.

Action Batch:  Woah, let's all mellow out and rap about this.

Cocktail, Crossroads, The Grudge, The Island of Dr. Moreau, Firewall, Battlefield Earth, Troll 2, The Wicker Man, and Glitter.

Also the three TV shows: Lost, Grey's Anatomy, and Heroes.

There was one film I hadn't seen before it was announced as a Rifftrax, Firewall, and I didn't particularly want to see it with out the guys' commentary.  A big mistake.  I was too distracted by keeping up with the movie to fully enjoy the riffing.  It's only now that I've seen the thing a few times, that I realise how great it was.  When Wickerman came along, I watched it without the commentary first.  It sucked ass, but the riffing was that much sharper as I didn't have to concentrate as much on the movie.

So far the list includes:

Battlefield Earth
Eragon
Fantastic 4
Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer
Transformers

Did it ruin the movie viewing experience? God no. I mean, look at the list.

Darth Geek

I agree with all the others you have mentioned so far the only one i would add is HALLOWEEN.

Crossroads, Reign of Fire, Glitter, Aeon Flux, Troll 2... I think were the only ones where the rifftrax marked the first time I watched the movie... There were also some old movies that I hadn't seen for years and years prior to the first riff viewing, so they were basically new... Like Cocktail, Point Break, The Matrix, Over The Top, etc.

In general, I don't find a big difference in the funny regardless of whether or not I am familiar with the source movie... but sometimes I do get lost in watching the film and kinda tune the riffing out. That happened the first time I watched The Matrix riff, as I hadn't seen it since the theatrical run.

The Star Wars Holiday Special. If I didn't have them riffing it, and I had to watch that without commentary, I would have to gauge my eyes out.

I can enjoy the SW Holiday Special sans the Rifftrax and beer. It's so other-worldly atrocious that I cannot help but love it. Grant you, with the Rifftrax, I've never laughed harder in my entire life. I enjoy it either way. The Holiday Special, it just keeps on giving.

Much like Troll 2, but in its case, I actually prefer it w/o the Rifftrax. Again, I find it fun to bask in its absurdity. Grandpa Seth!

Crossroads, Glitter, and Battlefield Earth on the other hand, no. BE is 39 minutes too long, and as for Crossroads/Glitter, I would've never watched either of them if it wasn't for the RTs.

Doctor Who?

Battlefield Earth,Transformers,Glitter,Top Gun,the list goes on and on for me.

Although I saw it when it was originally aired, I don't remember any of The Star Wars Holiday Special until I watched it with the Rifftrax. Amazingly painfully funny.

The shorts were all new to me, except for the lunchroom one. Pee-Wee Herman used about 1/2 of it for his live stage show HBO special aired circa 1984.

Other than those, no feature films.

Episode I. It's the only way anymore to cover up the stink of shame I still have from waiting 15 years for it to be released and then camping out for tickets in a Darth Maul Costume.

ShadowDog

I have to agree.  I can't watch it or Episode II without a remote control to skip over the most painful parts.  I can have a decent time watching those two movies with the remote control, but they're each only 50 minutes long.  LOL
