Wow, that's amazing. I wonder how those lizards were able to create these completely new structures in such a quick time. Pretty cool anyhow. :)

Bah!   Noah put those large-gutted lizards on the Ark.  It's all in the Bible, friends!

Ok, seriously if people didn't get the fact that Ben Stein is completely off his rocker.

Excellent service contracts? =o

Anyway, I think the article exaggerates a bit when they say the guts are "completely new". They probably got them used but in mint condition on Amazon.com

That's pretty nifty. I wonder if they can still produce viable ofspring with the original lizard type. If not, then we have a completely new species. Darwinist satan worshippers will have "IN YOUR FACE!" bragging rights for the rest of eternity.

Edit: Oh, and all I could think of while I was watching that video is:
1. I am so glad that I have heard NO ONE here at my college talking about that video and
2. I wish to god that I had some way of replicating a giant "idiot" complete with sound in face to face situations.

Actually that is a quite interesting question, it's not just genetically are they able to, but would they mate (by choice)?

Does that count as making them different species as well? I know that horses and donkeys are different species though they can and do mate. The mules/hinnies they produce are not actually species themselves, because they are almost always sterile.

BathTub

Well I was thinking of a couple of examples in my mind, like I think it was some Galapagos Finches who while genetically able to mate, no longer did and had become 2 distinct 'tribes, that's kind of a very basic start.

I am watching Thunderfoots videos (I posted one just above) and they are quite funny. Here is the one just before the one above, it deals more with the actual idea behind the film.

BathTub

Yeah ok, I'm working through this guys video series, but they are pretty well done and entertaining.

Here is one 'Teach the Controversy!' including Peer Review.

First off, my apologies for not reading through every single post in this thread.

Secondly, I have not seen this movie, but I have spoken to some people who have.

If I understand the premise of the movie correctly, it is not disputing the theory of evolution as in the process of critters changing over time. That is something that can be scientifically researched. There is evidence to support that.

Where the issue comes in is trying to use the evolutionary process to explain the ORIGIN of life. Now technically, evolution and the origin of life are two different things. But what people like Stein are pointing out is that there is no more evidence to prove that we're all crap that crawled out of the sea left over from some giant explosion. Yet all you have to do is open up a school science textbook and that's pretty much what it tells you, albeit it incredible simplified. In short, the Big Bang is no more provable than God or the Giant Spaghetti Monster. It also hasn't been proven or even evidenced how life can stem from the unliving.

Again, I haven't seen the film, but it sounds like that's the question it's asking. Why is one origin theory accepted while the other is shunned when neither one is more provable than the other.
