How do you think this Trax turned out? I, for one, really enjoyed it. The humor was very funny, and it held up very well the entire way through. Lileks did a great job. I love how nerdy he is. He had some delightfully geeky jokes.

Gaseous Snake

I haven't watched it yet, but it's good to hear some positive feedback. I got Firewall and Halloween when I got Spider-Man 3 so I'll probably give those two a watch, first.

Feedback...Well, Lileks, I'm surprisedly impressed.  Not that I didn't think he was a geek, but that he was actually funny.  Yeah, held up well.  Nice work.  ^_^

And did I see Kevin not playing the clarinet in the final scene?

Pak-Man

Awesome riff! I knew nothing or Lileks before this all went down, but the man can riff!  I liked the nerd-toned riffs to match the movie and the very subtle passing-semi-burn on "Meet Dave." :^)

I think it's great how the movie doesn't show Lord Silicon shooting Riceman, it opens the door for more retconning

If the rumors are true, Venom's "death" might be the next thing to get retconned since Marvel wants to give him his own movie.
Being a genocidal maniac is not one of my turn ons.

Is it weird to hear the Safety Dance in my head watching Game of Thrones?

Darth Geek

This was a good Rifftrax. Probably a solid 8. Lileks was good at this. I just didn't laugh as hard as I did in Transformers or Batman & Robin or some of the others.

I this sample, why are Mike and James ripping on the fact they are dancing to Chubby Checkers? These characters are twenty somethings in 2007, they could be listening to any crap pop song, yet they choose a good classic and Mike and James have the audacity to complain?

It's just a tad unlikely... almost as unlikely as a singing waitress in a jazz bar in NYC in 2007.

PlayMSTie

Or Manhattan Memories on Broadway in 2007. :) That's one reason I liked that particular riff; you could see the director thinking, "Okay, one generic Broadway musical coming up . . ." Not that I personally wouldn't prefer a revue of that sort to Urinetown. It's just not likely that you'd go to a Broadway musical these days, even a revival, and have it open with a girl in a pretty dress on a staircase singing Irving Berlin.

I liked this riffing. Very well done. I especially loved the police radio gag. Hysterical. The movie, again, disapointed me. Way too top heavy on the emotional angst stuff, not enough time showing Venom, and overall too many villians running around. I thought a second viewing would warm me up more to the movie, but alas......still not enough Venom.

Trekker4747

I thought it was pretty darn good.

It felt the most MST3K like.

Am I remembering wrong, did they screw up their shark jumping jokes, making it the shark who was jumping rather than being jumped?
