They put more episodes of MST3K on Amazon Instant Video, and I bought a couple. I just watched Space Mutiny again and Merlin's Shop of Mystic Wonders. Oh my God I forgot how much both of those made me laugh so much. They also recently added Master Ninja 2, Devil Doll, Touch of Satan, Phantom Planet... and I am planning to get those next.

I just hope they release Clonus, Overdrawn at the memory bank, Prince of Space and Riding with death, Invasion of the Neptune men... I want those episodes more than any others. Once I get those... all will be right with the world again. Those are just some of the essential MST3K episodes.

Those are some of my favorites too. I would imagine that the deals with Amazon Instant are related to Shout's DVD rights. So unfortunately probably no Riding With Death yet since they haven't gotten the rights to that one or they would have put it on DVD by now.

I finally got my hands on a reasonably priced Volume 4 on DVD which includes both Space Mutiny, Girl in the Gold Boots, and Overdrawn at the Memory Bank.   It's an expensive box set, includes probably 3 of the top 10 (for me) episodes in one set.

My favorite is the volume with Merlins Shop, Boggy Creek 2, and Time Chasers (and just a touch of satan).  2nd is probably the one with Future Wax...er War, LaserBlast, and War Wilf.

Last night I caught some of Red Zone Cuba on Pluto.tv's stream, specifically the tail end.

What the fresh criminy hell was with that final part? Music cutting in and out, haphazard scene transitions...Coleman Francis, you were a madman.

Red Zone Cuba is an episode I've watched unsuccessfully about 6 times. It goes the same way each time. The first hour, I'm frustrated and trying to piece together the plot, then somewhere during the execution scene, the hypnotic funk of Red Zone Cuba kicks in and I wake up just in time to catch the last segment.

I actually watch RZC a lot.  The movie is such a baffling pile of lunacy and strangeness that I can't look away.  But only if it's being made fun of...I'm sure it's a hard slog without someone pointing out all them 'chichi frog legs.'  But I love the episode...favorite line is probably, "When a Curly dies in the wild, he provides food for other Curlies."  It's the voice Trace does that cracks me up.

Man did I think Kathy Ireland was hot back in the day. (Especially after Necessary Roughness.) But wow did this movie take all the sexy out of her. She was so annoying. Worst heroine ever. It's no wonder she didn't have a blossoming movie career.
