I didn't, but it kind of hurt my eyes. Gave me a bit of a headache. My hubby got really sick and almost had to leave--three times!

My daughter (18) laughed at us and told us it was because we were old.

But then she and her boyfriend went to see it and the friend they went with, ran out of the theater and didn't come back for a long time. (He literally did upchuck)

We couldn't help laughing. We may be in our 40s, but at least we didn't toss our cookies.

I think we need a t-shirt that reads "I survived Cloverfield and didn't upchuck!"

As for the movie--It seriously rocked! I would rename it Godzilla vs. 9/11.
Are you my virgins?  I hope not!

My mom went to see it while visiting a friend in Texas and a 30 something 300 lb. linebacker looking guy threw up in the aisle when leaving.  She doesn't do well with motion so I don't think she watched a whole lot of the movie.  I went on Wednesday and I can say it didn't really do anything to me at all, no headaches or dizziness.

I didn't ralf, but I did get queasy. Something tells me that if I see it again ("cause I DID like the film), it won't bother me as much, if at all.

well, my job is to take people's home videos and convert them to dvd. So i've actually seen worse (yes, i have). So while, it is an entirely different ball game sitting in a gigantic theater than watching it on a 15 inch monitor, I was okay.

It was a little jarring at first, but I got used to it. Man that movie is intense though!

I had a slightly queasy moment in the latter half of the film, but it passed quickly.  Some of the more, ahem, intense moments gave me a harder time than anything the shaky POV threw at me.  Still, the closest I got to tossing anything was an urge to throw Reese's Pieces at a couple of people who wouldn't pipe down early in the movie.  And as far as I saw, nobody else in the (packed) theater, mostly teens, had nausea problems.

Your mileage may vary, especially if you sit close to the screen.  Then your brilliant strategem for getting a better look at the monster could well backfire.  Messily.

I haven't seen Cloverfield, but judging by some of the things I'm reading here, I'd better not see it.  I'll miss a hell of a movie, but I don't like the idea of throwing up in the movie theater, or walking away from another movie with a really bad migraine.  I'll wait for the DVD, instead.

I had no problems. My sister, however, did get a little sick. Other than that my family was fine.

Now that you mention it, I WAS sitting in the 3rd row (only because it was the only row left, it was a small theater). Maybe that was it.

i get car sick sea sick and air sick, so i was surprised to see i didnt get sick at all in this movie.  I however had to cover my eyes during that one scene with the stobe light (that one light that was sparking and caused a flash effect)  that hurt my weak ass eyes extremely.

Fuzzy Necromancer

It does sound like supplementing popcorn and soda with some dramamine would be a good idea.

I got just a bit airsick when I was watching Beowulf.

I got a headache my first time through, but my second time I was able to watch it completely symptom-free.

Cosmic Muse

I haven't watched Cloverfield at all because of the shaky cam. That little scene in Spider-man 3 with this dumb little camera trick almost made me vomit. I couldn't even think of sitting through a feature length film of this stuff.
Being a genocidal maniac is not one of my turn ons.

Is it weird to hear the Safety Dance in my head watching Game of Thrones?

Doctor Who?

This sounds like the type of movie i would love but after reading some of the stuff I don't think i should see it.

The second Jason Bourne movie(I can't remember the name right now) made me sick, and this sound ever worse :-\
