I remember getting a headache (and a small amount of queasiness) from The Bourne Ultimatum (which was otherwise a good movie).  I think I might want to sit in the back row if I go to see this one.
Correction: the coat hanger should be upside down.

Both times I've seen it I positioned myself halfway from the screen in the middle of the center row to get the best view. And both times I had a headache over my left eye when I left the theater. But thankfully it went away in a few minutes. I have to say that is the only time I have felt any effect from a movie though some of the bad movies I have watched have made me feel stupid and angry  for wasting the money on 'em ;D.
In theory, practice and theory are the same. In practice, they aren't.

yeah, I had that eyeball headache as well, but for me it didnt last very long and was worth the pain.
The Ood: The Beast and his armies will rise from the pit to make war against God.
Rose: I'm sorry?
The Ood: Apologies. I said: I hope you enjoy your meal.

I sat as close to the middle of the theater as I could get, and had no symptoms at all, even while eating nachos and soda.  But someone behind me threw up, in the last 10 minutes of the movie.  So sitting in the back doesn't look like a surefire cure for the motion.

i was sitting in the front row (we havea  stage so its actually a great seat at the theater) and i didnt get sick or have a headache but the girl behind me threw up and left that gave me a big shock.  you know the movies intense when people are throwing up behind you!  i definately recomend seeing it in a theater i just dont think it will be so good without the assault on your ears and eyes that only a theater can give.

Someday, movie theaters will realize what shakycams do to people, and start putting tarps down. Can't be more expensive than a cleaners.

I'm not gonna get sick, since I don't intend to ever give money to them for that movie.  I am seriously fed up with the unsteady cam garbage and how it is used to hide poorly done action.  I saw the third Bourne and had no problems whatsoever physically, I was just irritated at not being able to see a clear picture.

This film never appealed to me, but I've heard from many people that it was great.

When films are edited, someone is sitting two feet away from a monitor, and they're cutting footage in a box that takes up a quarter of the monitor, with the lower half filled with audio tracks.  When the films make their way to the theaters, projected on these huge screens, its a completely different experience.

But Cloverfield and the Bourne movies made a killing opening weekend, so this style isn't going to end anytime soon

Doctor Who?

The camera really doesn't shake that much in Cloverfield(By the does anyone know why the movie is called that any way?),and it adds a lot to the movie.

This may be the only shaky cam movie that I like, and it is the first movie since Peter Jacksons King Kong that made me flinch in my seat mutiple time.

These type of movie normally make me sick, but it didn't happen this time.

It's a very good movie and at 90 minutes it doesn't drag at all, everyone should give this movie a try.

If not in theaters then at least on DvD.

It is a enjayable movie.

im also not a fan of using a overly shaky camera like in bourne movies but here the shaky camera makes sense because the camera man is a part of the movie.  so for this film shaky camera is effetive and essential to the realism of the scenario.  but you are right it is very annoying in "professional" films.

Personally I got sick of watching Cloverfield. It was ok but I won't see it again. As far as the shaky cam goes it wasn't bad in Cloverfield. As far as the shaky cam goes in the Bourne movies, I think they use all the quick edits and cuts and moving camera to hide the poor fight choreography.

I finally went and saw this and i liked it for the most part. When i left my brother had to lay down in the car as we drove home because it made him dizzy. I had a little bit of a headache but that was about it. still considering if i should see it again.

The only thing about this movie that made me sick was the utter predictability and how not one damn thing made a bit of sense.
