From Satellite News:

"Wired Magazine, of all media outlets, has the scoop about the first Cinematic Titanic release.
The movie riffed will be . The riff will be released Monday, Dec. 10, according to the report.
CT will be partnering with movie-download service EZTakes.

The cast will perform Saturday night, Dec. 8, for Industrial Light Magic staffers at George Lucas' Presidio campus in San Francisco. Feeling left out? Don't: A DVD of the invitation-only show will be up for sale Monday, Wired says."

I think someone guessed that in the Cinema Titanic Thread.  Kudos to whoever got it!

Anybody got a clue what EZTakes are and what they're like?

Compound

Well, the site is over here: http://www.eztakes.com/

And they're a new one to me as well. Oh well. I'll find out about them on the 10th.

Way to ruin it for people who still want to be surprised on announcement day, by the way. Very conscientious of you. ;)

If I thought that people were wanting to wait, I wouldn't have posted it. Satellite News broke the news, so I figured it was "out there." Are they planning something special that I wasn't aware of?

Darn! I'll have to wait till I get back from my vacation Jan. 9 to check it out. :'( :'(
I'll keep up with you all's reviews of it

Don't worry about it...you were being trolled
I am on the "email" list and even though the email I used for that site is used for other things, this is the first I heard of it (even though I get "alerts" from this site to an email address I check once every 3 months).

Yes, this is the first "you've heard of it" because CT was planning to annouce the title on the 10th. Some overly fanatic people from the mst3kinfo boards found the movie based on a screenshot. And eegah wasn't being trolled, he was being inconsiderate, and attention grabbing. There was already a topic on CT on the main page when he made this post, with the spoiler information in the title. The people in the CT thread were considerate enough of others to use spoiler tags when they were discussing the title (which they already posted about 2 days before eegah did, further proving that he was being inconsiderate and just trying to grab some attention for himself).

I've not heard of this movie.  Is it one of those hilariously bad sci-fi ones?

That goes without saying...  Oh wait.

Just in case no one else dared to snoop around here's the link to about 3 dozen pictures taken at the gathering afterwards....

Personally, I think that, though it was meant as sarcasm, it's kind of telling that Joel autographed a copy of 'The Amazing Colossal Episode Guide' as 'by Joel Hodgson... ::)

It was never going to be secret that long. Yes the forrestcrow thread gave a fair degree of certainty but Wired announced the title and it would never have stayed a secret after the friday night performance at the LDAC either. But yeah I was putting it in spoilers for people to give themselves the option of reading it or not.

It's an incredibly easy way to download and burn a DVD... they have a little download manager application that takes care of everything. You can visit their site and perform a free test to make sure you're happy with it. I recommend the animated music short, it's way cool !

I think you're being a little harsh on eegah. I mean we're all excited about this. And he did edit it to use spoiler tags, he's not the first person to forget that not everyone visits every CT related news site on the net.
