movies you've seen on mst3k that you want to see uncut

I just saw "Moon zero two" on a MST3k tape and didn't think it looked that ghawdawful. I mean, it was no "2001" but it sure as hell wasn't "The angry red planet" either.

Any chance of seeing it uncut?

Sources say no. (Amazon and Netflix.) However, you COULD get the flipping movie poster and noveliization!

For me, I'd dlike to see the complete versions of the Godzilla films, as well as Gorgo.

Wait a minute, I have Gorgo on my shelf. I've just failed to watch it yet.

Your memory of Moon Zero Two is about as good as my memory of Marooned. I saw Marooned in the theater when it first came out and thought it was fantastic, super special effects, etc... funny how differnt it looks years later with a good riffing, lol. I had the same problem with First Men in the Moon, I remembered it being really cool from when I was a kid, then saw it on cable and... ewwwwwwww.

Hanger 18 was pretty good, but that was KTMA...

I was far, far too excited to see that the uncut version of Space Mutiny is now available on Netflix.  The movie is almost as hilarious without the riffs its so bad.  In addition to some more crappy dialog, I was surprised to find there is also some additional footage in the garden love scene with a little nudity on the part of Cisse Cameron (aka The World's Oldest Daughter).  You know, if that's your thing.

I've always wanted to see the unMSTied version of Wild Rebels.  Evidently, Rod does a song at the bar where he meets the gang and some other stuff.....

Problem is, it's still only available on VHS.  And I know the minute I break down and buy it, it will come out on DVD.

BTW, the KTMA episodes....the movies don't appear to be edited at all.  At least of the ones I've seen.  Mighty Jack and Time of the Apes have some interesing extra footage.  And back in those days they didn't riff as often.

BTW,....you realize of course.....with very, very, very few exceptions....unless the movie is Public Domain.....if it is out on DVD in an uncut version, Rhino can't get it.

In fact, I suspect that's why they couldn't renew the rights to Beginning of the End - the owners realized that they weren't selling their own DVD of it with Rhino's verison (complete with unMSTied version) out there.

That's why I don't celebrate things like the restoration of Hercules (which is playing on AMC right now, in all it's Color-Saturated Glory  ).  Means we'll never have anything better than what's on the DAP, Comedy Central logos and all.

I have a bad habit of watching terrible movies that I find out have been riffed by the bots on the series.  I've only seen about half of MST3k episodes, so it's a still a nasty surprise when I realise I could've endured the movie with some help, rather than going solo.  The Screaming Skull, Clonus: The Parts Horror, The Legend of Boggy Creek, Gamera vs Guiron, Attack of the Killer Shrews, and The Leech Woman are all films I could've seen with added riffing...
