In the tradition of mst3k name a good thing and a bad thing about the movie and you get a RAM chip.

Good thing: Barricade was pretty cool and the original voice of Optimus Prime was awesome.
Bad Thing:  I was told that there were giant robots but I could only see blurry images of things that might of been robots.

Darth Geek

Good thing: Peter Cullen
Bad thing: the robot Peter Cullens voice came out of, that was supposed  to be Optimus Prime.

Good thing: This movie, and the robot designs...
Bad thing: All the stupid assholes who hate the movie only because other people love it(please note I am referring to no one in particular).

"No one in particular" tells me you think that there are a lot of people out there with this stance.  There are in fact a lot of different reasons you could give to NOT like this movie.  Annoying one-liners, over the top acting, Michael Bay's refusal to show what is actually happening in action scenes, or how about the lack of robot presence in a large part of a movie about robots.  If you like it, fine.  If you hate it, that's fine too.  I doubt that there is a large group of people who hate it just because sombody else likes it.  This isn't like hating racists for being racist, because the last time I checked "Transformers" isn't a minority group.

Good thing: The decision to revamp the robot designs from the blocky 1980's cartoon versions to be based more on some kind of nanotech construction was a decent idea... in theory.

Bad thing: In practice, the robots were not only ugly creatures of nightmare for children worldwide, but were also barely distinguishable from each other in robot mode, with the exceptions being Optimus Prime and Bumblebee who actually had colors other than the silver &/or gray of metal to help them stand out.

Just Some Guy

Bad thing: The fact that Michael Bay is allowed to make movies.

Good thing:  Sorry, after seeing that movie I don't think there will ever be another good thing in my life.  From now on when anything brings me the slightest joy I will be instantly reminded that Transformers exists and have that joy stripped from me.

I suppose a good thing is that we could use the movie as a weapon of mass destruction...

Good thing: Starscream's battle with the other jets.

Bad thing: Shia Labouf trying to endear himself to the audience.
Aaahh! This movie just throws you violently into the next scene!

"Bay" thing:  This movie was made...  by Michael Bay... with complete disregard to an already well-established and fairly workable storyline...  and was made by Michael Bay.

Good thing:  A Rifftrax was made for this movie.

Darth Geek

Bad thing: the "walking junkpile" designs
Good thing: Ummm...the DVD is flammable?

Good thing:  Megatron and Starscream were both adequately badass.

Bad thing:  With the exception of them, Optimus, Bumblebee and the Boombox assasin, none of the other Transformers seemed to mean a damn.

I was disappointed in the Megatron / Starscream interaction department. I seem to recall a writers interview or something where they were saying 'all the things you remember about your favorite transformers is in the movie such as... Megatron / Starscream power struggles / tension in conversations blah blah'.  And what did we get? "M: where is the cube? S: the humans took it. M: You fail me yet again, Starscream."   That's it? That's weak!. Where's a decently designed robot head/face for Starscream that would actually convey his contempt for Megatron whenever he speaks? Where's that same head showing fear when Megatron threatens him (which didn't even happen)?  Where's a scene where Starscream tries to backstab Megatron, like while he's distracted in the city battle (sneak around a building a pop a shot off or SOMETHING. geez.) or where's Starscream scheming in the background with other Decepticons, ordering them around while they complain that "Megatron won't like what you're doing, Starscream."  Pathetic.

Boombox Assassin = Frenzy    And I agree with you mostly. I don't think anyone mattered besides Bumblebee, Optimus, Frenzy, and Megatron. Although I'll admit I liked Barricade's style, if nothing else. Well, Megatron was only even relevant as the 'boss fight at the end' in my opinion, which sucked. I wanted to see Megatron throughout the movie, cursing Optimus for continually foiling his plans, kidnapping human scientists to force them into working for him on some crazy scheme, etc etc. But no, he wakes up long enough to casually rip Jazz in two, get into a fight with prime, then gets snuffed* by some little punk human.

* Except, he'll most likely be back in the next movie, if it gets made, because for some incredibly stupid reason, the military didn't want to take dead alien robots back for study, or at least dismemberment and dissection into tiny, tiny pieces that would have no chance of coming back. No, instead they leave them whole and merely drop them in the ocean. Over a supposedly deep trench sure, but whatever. They could drift on the way down and only end up in normal deep-water, or something.

Yeah I was kind of disappointed there wasn't more Megatron/Starscream interaction too, but at the least Starscream was somewhat true to character in that when he saw the battle turning in the Autobots favor he left on his own, presumably to take control of any Decepticons he could find still in space (at least that was my assumption) in which case we'll probably see a conflict when he returns to Earth with his own force, and Megs reawakens again.

Good thing: the action was great, the movie was hilarious. overall this was just a really good movie.

bad thing: megan fox isn't really that great an actress. that's really my only complaint.

RVR II

Good Thing: The RiffTrax (That's just about it)

Bad Thing: The Movie (Mostly the Lack of familiar Decepticons throughout the movie)
