GalvaTRION

QuoteWhen I saw it in theaters, I paid for tickets to Ratatouillie and walked into Transformers

GalvaTRION, I thaught about doing that, too. But didn't and severely regretted it. Ratatouillie was one of the best movies of the year.
Even Street Fighter was better than Transformers, purely from the fact you could SEE what was happening on the screen. Although that is a very narrow margin.
Plus, Raul Julia hamming it up so much like he's a long lost relative of Porky Pig, while hitting video game console style buttons has a certain insane charm. John Turturro hamming it up and then getting peeed on, does not.

Ratatoillie is indeed one of the best movies of the year, and you're absofreakinglutely right about Street Fighter being a much more cohesive movie.

I just don't understand how it's even possible for people to say "Oh yeah, it was entertaining" when damn it... it isn't. It's reprehensible. "Oh you're just judging it too harshly, expecting Citizen Kane from a giant robot movie." Ohhh no. No. Look at my DVD shelf and see if you can say that with a straight face. I'm one of the 10 people on the planet that actually liked Howard the Duck. I bought both Guyver movies. I think Hulk is highly underrated. And yet, I also own Casablanca, One Flew Over the Cookoo's Nest, and Rashomon. I can tell the difference between "good good" and "bad good." Transformers is neither.

All i can say about it being Transformers is YES!!! I so can not wait to see the movie of my favorite toy line get riffed. I have over 900 or so figures lining my shelves from the original to the newest ones. So when this comes out I'll pop in my DVD, sit back in my easy chair and watch it with an Optimus Prime toy...

Oh yeah now we just need the 1980's Transformers and GI Joe movies riffed...

To think I almost picked the '86 Transformers to be my first fan-riff.  I could have had it done and released it as a companion piece.   ;D

Pak-Man

This is probably my most anticipated Rifftrax yet. Why, oh WHY did it have to be released on the day we take off on a train for Kansas for Thanksgiving?

For the same reason that for the first time in 20+ years, my birthday will fall on the day before Thanksgiving and I don't get to be home for it.

I think it's God's punishment for us liking it when things we like get made fun of. He's punishing us for having a good sense of humor.  >:D

Sad thing is there are a lot of people out there who have way more than that....

Well ok so they are not all on my shelves.. About half are boxed away in containers till I can get more space to put them up on display.

Pak, take a United flight instead -- they're showing Transformers these days. :) I kept thinking, "WHY couldn't that riff be out already??" (Yeah, I know, fires. It was a rhetorical question. ;) )

Sideswipe

I had a massive collection of Transformers when I was a kid but tragicly they were cut short in the prime of their careers by a house fire.  I was demoralized by that event and my collection never recovered.

I was bieng threated with death by wolf raping before it was cool!.

Now that majorly sucks.  I had a friend at my old job that had the same thing happen to his G.I. Joe collection, and that collection was likely worth thousands.
