QuoteI love Rifftrax, but I also have room for both. I also remember that if it wasn't for Joel, no one would be riffing movies to begin with. At least not in the sense we're used to.

Don't get me wrong,  I think Joel's gig should be good and I hope that they and Rifftrax do intermingle down the road.  As stated by others as well, I was just pointing out that it was Mike who went out and revived all this goodness.

I have a feeling the cartoon will be utter crap though.

lmao...

I know I shouldn't pre-judge... but really... Jim got his "big news revelation" kind of stomped on...  :D

Well, see, that's my point... people who feel the need to shove it in your face are usually covering up, so all the phallic symbolism usually means the exact opposite. I would have thought that Joel would be smart enough to realize that and try to avoid it, rather than dump it in every single image. :P

I've found that it's often the people who point such things out who are covering up. Why else would you look at a long object and automatically think of a penis?

I'd say Whalberg definately qualifies as really good.

It's weird seeing a picture of middle-aged Joel. Last time I saw him he was still a fresh-faced 30 something. But anyway, I have high hopes for this project as I've always had a soft spot for the Joel-era shows.

Yeah, and in less than 24 hours, too... hilarious. :)

The names of images are "timecapsule.jpg".  Perhaps the premise will involve Joel and the others finding a time capsule of bad movies.

[speculating wildly] Or maybe they go back in time! We haven't seen the pilot thru K03, so we don't know how he got there... maybe these are PRE-QUELS!

Absolutely. Up to last year, all we really had to look forward to for hopes that any of the Brains would work together again in any substatial manner was Darkstar.

What a difference a year makes. I didn't even discover Rifftrax until December last year....

Becuase you think about sex a lot (in itself a habit I find irritating)?

Wait wait, brain too full of potential goodness.   :gouge:  Damn it, not again.

Wow, no movie is safe it seems.  This should be interesting down the road, that's to be sure.  I know several friends who are going to lose their minds at the thought of Joel returning to riffing, and I can't wait to see what the came up with.  One thing for sure though, I'm sticking with Rifftrax to the end...that I hope doesn't come until Mike is old and grey and too senile to operate his microphone!  In the meantime there's always room for more in the pool.  What, you think we're going to run out of bad movies?  They make like 50 more a day!

Did they ever finish Dark Star?

Same here, found out about the live show and naturally discovered all of...this.  It's been a good year.

Hope they autograph the DVDs like Mike did with his autograph series Legend DVDs.

Also, I'm gonna speculate that the movie will be Howard the Duck
