Of course we will notify everyone when the downloadable movie , but we do not have an estimated release date at this time.  We will let you know when that changes, it shouldn't be too much longer.

I'm super sorry to be the world's biggest idiot and I know this must have been covered, but...What IS the downloadable movie?  I ordered the Legend version of Missile from the site and plan to download the Riff in the traditional way. Am I missing an opportunity?

We will offer Missile to the Moon as a downloadable Divx movie file with the RiffTrax merged into it already.  This can be watched on a computer or using a Divx compatible DVD player.

That's basically why I ordered the Legend version, because they did a restoration on it.  I'll likely use the restored B&W version though, never been a big fan of colorization.

Me either, though Legend's work really is stellar.  With minor films such as this, it bothers me even less.  As long as they don't go around colorizing Casablanca or The Maltese Falcon, I'm cool with it.   :)

Why did they color the smoke in Reefer Madness?   Thought that was a little odd.

They colored the smoke in Reefer Madness as a stylistic choice. The Legend guys said in the colorization commentary that they colored it like a pulp comic book of the time period instead of trying to go for complete realism, considering the film's content. The smoke had different colors for every character because each character was experiencing their own kind of drug trip.

Personally I wouldn't care if they colorized Casablanca and The Maltese Falcon as long as they included restored B&W versions on the DVD. Not that they probably ever will anyway. I imagine the company that owns the copyright on those films would want to have a say.

Cool, thanks for the info--interesting! Guess I didn't bother to watch all the features, heh heh.

That's very neat--thanks for filling me in, sorry to be out of it!  Is this possible because the movie's old enough to be public domain? Or are the rules somehow different on the downloadable version?

I was just going to ask where the high five icon came from.

You've given RVR another reason to live, torgos.  ;D

Because it's sourced from a public domain film, legend films can allow extra options with their product.

So have all the signed DVDs shipped? If I ordered today, would I have a chance of getting a signed one?

Depends on how many they signed. I think the only people to get a signed one have been Rude and RVRII. Personally, I'll wait until they release the divx, and then just make my own dvd, depending on price.

I'm still holding out hopes I might get one... I ordered it right away, it's just got a long way to come!

I like the colorizations, and although I can see they might not appeal to purists they do add an important dimension for me.  And Legend Films do a pretty good job at it.

...excepting "Things To Come"... I thought the color there was disappointing.  But I understand Harryhausen himself did the color design so I guess I'm just not used to his style.

Am I missing something?  Is the downloadable Divx available yet and I just can't find it?
