IESB has learned some interesting information about the upcoming "Transformers 2" movie, which can be considered spoilers.

SPOILERS AHEAD:

The site reports that we will see old characters in the movie, along with some new ones. The Decepticons will be getting some help in the form of Constructicons. In the cartoons, their names were Scrapper, Bonecrusher, Scavenger, Mixmaster, Hook and Long Haul. And when they all combine, they create the giant Devastator, which you can see in the picture below.

The site adds that its possible that the names might change, since Bonecrusher has already been used in the first film.

At this point, "Transformers 2" has not gone into production. Michael Bay has spent most of the WGA strike writing the script and has since turned it over to the Kurtzman/Orci/Kruger team. The goal is to get the cameras rolling by summer of this year.

Okay, just 'cause OP cut his head off doesn't mean he can't come back. Hell, they could bring Jazz back if they wanted - it's a forgone conclusion that Megatron will be back no matter how "dead" he is.

That's the thing about Transformers. They're impossible to kill permanently. Unless they're unpopular and have a grand total of 5 minutes screen time.

Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Jonah Hill (Superbad) is in early negotiations to co-star opposite Shia LaBeouf in the upcoming "Transformers" sequel. Hill will provide the comic relief as a sidekick to Shia's Sam Witwicky.

A source tells EW that he'll play Sam's college roommate, but DreamWorks won't confirm. The sequel is set to begin shooting this summer, with a release date set for June 26th, 2009.

The first "Transformers" movie, which hit theaters last year, brought in over $700 million in worldwide ticket sales. Since the movie cost only $150 to make, director Michael Bay had no other choice but to start working on the sequel.

Anyway, I was assuming they'd have the screaching fat black hacker as his sidekick- that would be more up Bay's alley.
