Mr. Nelson,

With the recent announcement of MST3K 'Bots: The Animated Adventures and Cinematic Titanic it looks like you began the Rebirth of Riffing.  How do you feel about your old collegues new projects?  Also what would be the likelyhood of a partnership or friendship between Rifftrax and Cinematic Titanic?

I, myself, am conflicted about whether or not I can support Cinematic Titanic without feeling like I am betraying RiffTrax.  Of course I will first have to see the exact format Cinematic Titanic is going to take but I really hope this doesn't turn into a Mike vs. Joel thing again.  I really hope that the two projects can be civil to each other and possibly even support each other, otherwise they might end up dividing the fanbase which wouldn't be good for either.

Mike, I have a question that I think you might be well-equipped to answer.  You may have noticed that in cartoons and comic strips and comic books, characters who wear glasses have no visible pupils.  You may also have noticed, that in the comic books, Batman has no visible pupils.  Therefore, my question is, do you think that that means that Batman, when he is wearing his mask, is wearing glasses?  And if so, why would he?

Hey there Mike,

You've mentioned actor Kurt Russell as a guy you'd like to have a beer with, a high compliment.

Have you checked out his recent role as Stuntman Mike in Tarantino's DEATH PROOF?

Is this villain a welcome addition to KR's gallery of characters?  A welcome addition to memorable guys named Mike?  Or just a cheap spokesman for Icy Hot, in a disposable pic from an overrated, overly chatty Madame Puppet of a director?

Thanks for any insight . . .

I don't have a question of my own, but I'd like to second YoohooRiffer's question above :)

Doctor Who?

Now that you have done the prequells any chance of you doing The Star Wars  holiday special?

My bootleged DvD is just crying out for your brand of humor.

~Mike Voice~ Hello Mister or Misses, Lucas woud have to either release the film to dvd or license it to Legend Films for this to happen.  ~Mike Voice~

Anything is possible I guess, but this thing REALLY embarrassed Lucas.  I think he's much happier pretending it never happened.

The funny thing is that it's still better then Star Wars episode 1,and he has no problem putting that on DvD:)

This really ought to be addressed soon. However, I'm sure it's only a matter of time before we have some sort of official statement from Mike on behalf of  "Team Rifftrax" concerning the new MST3k projects.

Personally, It'd make me quite "Happy in Pants" to have an official Rifftrax/Cinematic Titanic collab. Then, both Mike and Joel can turn thier attention and any remaining free time to help the new MST3k.com get their sh*t together. If  the "Reel Livin' " short is a preview of what's to come... *SHuDDeR*

Have you seen the Christmas Special?  I have, and Im not ashamed to admit that it makes Episode 1 look like cinematic genius.  Anyone who disagrees try and make it through the Jefferson Starship performance.  There is some terrible shit in that show.  I would take a pod race over that any day.  The only good thing about the Christmas special was the Bobba Fett cartoon was pretty cool.

Let's not forget Bea Arthur in the Cantina.  *shudders*  Actually, on second thought, let's do forget that and pretend it never existed.

I couldn't even take the cartoon, it looked like it was the inked and painted equivalent of acid.  That said I used to have a tape of this special, but it got stolen (if you can believe that)  I got it specifically for a contest between some friends and myself.  We were competing to see who could bring the absolute worst thing possible to show.  We went through Battlefield Earth and Dungeons and Dragons and all that stuff, I even brought in my Manos MST3K dvd, but I trumped everything on the table the day I showed the holliday special.  We called off the contest immediately after.
