This movie is awsome, when the dragons are on he screen. Any time a dragon is not on the screen (fortunately this isn't that often) it will make you want to gouge your eyes out (or your ears, so you can't hear the dialog). But this movie is insanely FUN, as the drgons are cool, which is all anyone goes to see this movie for, anyway.
The comparison with Transformers is interesting, because I enjoyed this movie the same way I was unable to enjoy Transformers. In D-war the dragons are cool and enjoyable. In Transformers the robots are overcomplicated HORRIBLY DESIGNED junk, that made me unable to enjoy the one aspect of the movie I came into the theater hoping to enjoy. In both movies everything else is similar, rediculus plot, lousy acting (D-war is much worse that TF in this regard), awful script, paper thin characters we don't care about, etc. Oh yeah, and lots of explosions.

I'm a guy who is turned on by explosions & giant monsters fighting each other, but even I couldn't enjoy this flick! I wanted to see something else (can't remember what), but the "free ticket" I had couldn't be used on New Releases. So the best of the rest (or so I thought) ended up being "Dragon Wars". However, I was expecting dragon-on-dragon action and we didn't get that until the end! This wasn't a dragon war, it was (small) dragons versus the military and a giant snake!
