Junkyard

Godzilla meets Lovecraft meets Dan Brown meets Blair Witch.
Sweet.

You mean that movie where a documentary guy follows around Godzilla, who has become lost in the woods while searching for the mystery behind the secret lineage of Cthulhu?

Those few concepts, mixed together in any combination, could in every case be a box office hit.

I'd watch it, just as long as the lead Xian takes on Ian McKellen's role.
Or really any role.

Junkyard

It should be noted, while it looked kinda Cthulu-ee, it could also be any random space alien. I doubt the creature itself is the film's focus.

Jinto

The more I look at the screen-cap floating around, the more a see a plain generic lizard head at the top of it. I'm suspecting we'll all be let down horribly.

And no, it won't be the focus of the film, but it has to be defined as something at some point, and so that's what we all want to know about. Which is kind of telling in a way. Notice nobody gives a crap what the people running around are doing, because so far it looks like nothing more than random panic... an entire movie about random panic... :speechless: ...well, and some 'fact finding', enough to find out what the creature is presumably.

Hmm, it's sounding worse and worse as I talk about it.  :P

Chaos

Sounds like that "big" Korean monster movie from a couple of years ago, the name of which escapes me. It was created by toxic waste or something? Most of the plot was about the guy trying to get his sister back, because the monster grabbed her at the very beginning.

The Host? Something that sounded nothing like what the monster was, anyway. :P

The monster will probably a stupid metaphor for something like faith or some crap like in signs.

I was bieng threated with death by wolf raping before it was cool!.

Hopefully it's not just a metaphor for conspicuous consumption like Mountain Dew-atron.

Maybe you're both right and it'll be defeated with someone shakes up a can of Mountain Dew and sprays it on its foot, sending it into allergic shock.

That ending is roughly 8% more believable and inspired than about 96% of the movies I've seen in the last 2 years...

Korean monster movie...  The Host?

Sounds like Slusho could be a bit of commentary... though looks like it has nothing to do with the movie itself.
I'm guessing this'll be a ripoff of Godzilla 1998. A ripoff of a bad movie... just great.
