The Godfather analogy was a good one.

Thanks.  I thought it was good.

I just still want Lucas to explain how Greedo managed to stay alive in the Mos Eisley Underworld for that "long time" he spoke of when he can't hit a target the size of Han from 2 1/2 feet away....

J-Proof

That's the thing -- Lucas did so much back-tracking to try and cover-up the mistake.... First, Greedo shoots first and Han's head doesn't jerk away at all. Then Greedo shoots first, and Han's head /does/ move away a little bit (but Greedo still shoots first).....

AAAH LUCAS!!!!!

Another analogy:

Johnny Ringo: "Fight's not with you Holliday--"
Doc Holliday: "Oh, I beg to differ, sir! We started a game we never got to finish....play for blood, remember?"
Johnny Ringo: "I was jsut foolin' around...."
Doc Holliday: "I wasn't..."

<Doc flashes his deputy marshall badge>

Doc Holliday: "And this time... it's legal"
Johnny Ringo: "Alright lunger.... let's do it...."

<The two circle each other tensely>

Doc Holliday: "Say when...."

<Ringo shoots at Doc first. Doc jerks to the side and shoots Johnny in the head....>

I'm still astounded the first version(bendy neck) ever made it past the digital effects supervisor! I cringe at just how awful it looks.

After some searching, I finally found it:

Should I be proud or ashamed that I didn't have to look this up to get the significance?

Some would say that I am a traitor not only to my gender, but to my whole, trend-chasing generation.

That would be a bad thing on .... which universe?

I have a lair in which I hide defectors. It's got an air hockey table.  ;D We can watch Die Hard and MST3K and use the last of my 4th of July fireworks by throwing them in the neighbor's pool.

The universe in which "Hi, are you a lesbian?" is apparently an okay way to introduce yourself to a girl with short hair and an affinity for printed t-shirts.  If it's a guy asking me that, I usually respond with, "Not yet, but I'll be sure to think of you when I finally come out."
;)

Do your printed t-shirts say, "Ask me if I'm a lesbian."?

No, but I do have one that says, "Ask me about my babydaddy."  You think that would counteract the apparent lesbian vibe.

Maybe they think you're talking about the bassist from Scissor Sisters.

Quite frankly, I'm amazed that no one here has brought up that other outrage....   you know the one,  the fact that the 'energy' from the 'force',, the same force that surrounds us, binds us, etc, etc.... is actually due to mitochondria ...

But that doesn't bother me nearly as much as the fact that he either got lazy, or just plain ran out of ideas.  however you look at it, he originally envisioned a sprawling saga that would take a grand total of 9 in order to tell it all, not a measly 6....

Though from the reactions around here to 'The Phantom Menace' and  'Attack of the Clones' there are some I'm sure that will say that he did us all a favor... (ironically enough, I happen to be listening to ' 'What I've done'  while finishing up this post...)

Tripe

Yeah, I've always thought that story was bollocks
