5% discount from when I was working for my now former employer.  ;D)

I always wondered if that would stay on there even when I changed jobs.  Cool.

I just envoked the 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell' policy ;D

Actually, they catch it all eventually. My service was free under Pak's employment discount plan thingy. Without notifying us (naturally), my plan got suspended some time after Pak got his new job.

You guys are talking small-time idiocy.  I'm in Nebraska!  When the Cornhuskers won the NCAA title in 95, they tore down the goalposts at the University of Nebraska.....at Kearney.  The Cornhuskers are from Lincoln, NE.  My college fees went for repairing the goalposts.

Well, you know what the "N" on Nebraska's helmets stand for, right? "Nowledge."

Well, then, clearly you must do the appropriate Straight Woman thing and blame Pak.  :)

Yeah we get to keep the discount, but the special freebee plan gets swapped for a SERO Discount plan thing. If you didn't have the special employee plan, you're probably OK :^)

HHEEEELLLOOOOOO!!!!! :o

Dim of the Yard

And now for something completely different.

I'm going to Cape Cod in a couple of days.  From the 29th until the 5th, I will be kicking back on the beach, being merry and bright and getting a ridiculous amount of sunburn.  The day before that, I'm going to a concert.  It's going to be so very awesome.

All of that is assuming my wisdom teeth aren't complete bitches in the next few days.  I've been referred by my dentist to see an oral surgeon to have these babies removed.  I knew that I always had impeccable timing when it comes to screwing things up, but good God, this just sucks, ya?

Curse you, wisdom teeth!!

Yeah, I thought that too when I was typing my post, but then I said to myself,"Self, these are a bunch of mature folks who certianly wouldn't allude to anything out of context in reference to your post. You're probably safe putting it up." But then I remembered all the past posts I've seen on here, and strangely put my post up anyway.  :D

I received a letter from my employer, the United States Postal Service, that I owe them $229.84 because they over paid me accidentally.
Letter begins:

It has been determined you are indebted to the United States Postal Service in the amount of $229.84.  This will serve to notify you of the USPS's intention to collect from you the sum of $229.84.  Collection of this debt is being pursued based on the information from the .......  Accounting Service Center.  The invoice specifically states:  This invoice collects for Overpayment in Week 2, Pay Period 12/2007 on Route .......  Your were(their words) paid 32.21 hours, you should have been paid 24.19 hours.  You lost 8.02 ours(again their word) at Overtime rate.

If you would like, you map repay the debt in a lump sum, agree to (blah, blah, blah)....  You may ask for copies of postal records relating to this debt.  Instructions for exercising these options art attached.

I choose option 2, which is:

Requests for Records.  If you wold like copies of all postal records relating to your debt, you must make a written request........  for the records within 10 (ten) calendar days from your receipt of the notice of the Postal Service's determination of a debt.  You will be provided with copies of the records within 5 calendar days of the the date your request is received.

Here is my letter back (I haven't mailed it yet):
