You mock me now, but watch the video.  Around the edges of the frame it's out of focus.  Bad camera I guess.  Still funny though.

And that's probably because Giant of Marathon doesn't seem available to order yet.

Apparently, it's 161st in the Amazon DVD leagues...  Is that good?

That's phenomenal. Has anyone found it in an actual store, by any chance?

I saw a guy wearing a shirt that said:

THEY GO TO MEETINGS.

Tracked one down at the local Barnes and Noble (Of all places) and watched it last night. It was funny and I like the sort of quasi-TV-Show feel and the skits. If I have a complaint it's that the movie was hard to follow, but with the right movie, this could be the second best thing to come along since MST3K. (Long live Rifftrax! :^))

I have seen it at Best Buy and a local chain of record stores in town had it on an endcap display.

Yeah, that movie was not the most happy film I have ever seen.    And the long pointless stripping scene at the beginning was not to be believed.    Very funny DVD though.

You know, I watched Hollywood After Dark, and I gotta say.... funny.... but not funny in any way that's worth note. It was like watching an episode of MST3K that I don't remember well because I was only half watching.

I'm still gonna check out some of the others, but that wasn't a good first impression to the series.

Yeah, I have to agree.  Mostly I think it was the movie.  Absolutely nothing happened in that piece of dung.  Very hard to get a good exchange of riffs going.  That's why I like Time Chasers.  They don't have to come up with the funny; the movie hands them the funny.  Even though it is a terrible movie, it's terrible in a very artistic way.  Not terrible in a comatose patient way.  In short, I blame the movie.

Yeah, I don't suppose that bizzare bit of despair and pain had any riff potential to begin with.

I don't know what it is....but my brain locks down a little bit when there isn't any color in a MST3k.  Even with Dr. Strangelove I find myself drifting sometimes and I like that movie.  I don't know if it would have saved Hollywood After Dark, but some of the beach seens would have been a little more beautiful with color.  Am I crazy?

I think everyone in that movie was ugly and depressing enough that even color could not have helped.

Seriously, would you want to the main thug (the love child of Jerry Orbach and a Rat) in color?
