J-Proof

I just thought I'd start this thread since the idea for this movie intrigues me =)

Lincoln is the story of...well... Abe Lincoln! So far all we know is that Liam Neeson is portraying Lincoln, and Marcia Gay Harden is portraying his wife. The film will be directed and produced by Sthhhhhhhhhhteven Spieldberg, and John Williams is doing the score!

Any totally impulsive and uneducated responses to this one? I'm looking forward to it =)

You mean Anthony Hopkins as Nixon?   :D

P.S.   He was great in that.

I hope Liam calls upon a little bit of Briar Gates to be Lincoln.

J-Proof

A lot of people on imdb have voiced that either Sean Penn or Orlando Bloom shoot play John Wilkes Boothe

I dunno bout Bloom, but Penn would be awesome.

Bob

I am still holding out for the Chester A. Arthur story.

Junkyard

Are they going to expose the FBI's part in the assasination in this film, or is Hollywood once again going to "play it safe?"

Hebs

You know, I'm a big Henry Fonda fan, but when he played Abe in that biopic (I wanna say 1938ish?)  I was boooored to tears.  Young Mr. Lincoln.
I hope Liam makes it more adventurous.

By the way, I was originally going tpo support Penn as Booth, but actually Bloom would fit more into his role, honestly.

I was originally set to play Lincoln, until they realized that I wasn't an actor. ;)
This iRiff will only be on sale for another few hours. Get it while it's cheap!

Tripe

I'd have Penn as John Wilke's brother Edwin with Bloom as John Wilkes himself.

That would rock Chester A. was the don, he spent most of the day napping and then groomed his mutton chops and went out on the town.

Personally, I think the story of the presidency of William Henry Harrison would make a much more compelling story.

And bonus, they could EASILY make the movie less than 90 minutes long. ;D

I think a 15 minute short.

This is my favorite portrayal of Nixon:
