You should build a really shoddy robot version of yourself and send it over. With Gary Coleman's face printed on cheap paper and taped to its head. Just record yourself saying random things so the robot can play them over and over again. The presence of your robot self will completely elminate any chances of awkward conversaton amongst the forum members. Especially the drunk ones.

The more I think about it, the more I like this idea.  It will take off the pressure to live up to my online presence.  For some reason, I don't think Sharktopus will be satisfied unless I show up pantsless with half a chipmunk hanging out of my ass.

Actually, I'm way more concerned about the possibility of you showing up like everyone else, but you LEAVING the meet pantsless with a chipmunk out your ass.

I'm not sure we'd all want to see Gary Coleman pantsless with a chipmunk out his ass, either. Sure you don't want the robot? You could also send a blow-up doll with Gary Coleman's face taped to it.

Hmmm, I might be busy this weekend after all!   :speechless:

Hey, you've cultivated that reputation all by yourself, dude. I just enjoy spreading it around:

We can all fit in Steve-O's house, right?  ;D

If by "house" you mean "rectum", then sure!  The more the merrier!

So who's coming over?

Until they sell out of 4 day passes.  I'm not sure when that will happen.  Still, I'd believe that you'd have at least until the end of this year before you'd even have to start to worry about that.

I do know that the prices of the 4 day passes increase as you get closer to the con.  For example, I got my 4 day pass for $50.00 but I think it went up to $55.00 on August 17th.  So, the sooner you get one, the cheaper it'll be.

If you're looking to save money, forget about the badges... book your hotel rooms now. You will save hundreds. I got gouged last year because I waited to long, not to mention I had to book in two different hotels because my first choice didn't have rooms for Sat and Sunday night...

Good idea.  And keep in mind, most hotels will allow you to cancel a reservation right up until the afternoon you're supposed to check in, without incurring any sort of penalty.  There's no reason not to make a reservation, even if you're not sure you're going to be able to make it; assuming you can remember to cancel it if you end up not going.

I just booked my room.  It's nice having that out of the way.  Now all I have to worry about is finding a decent flight, which won't be that hard.  San Diego here I come!   ;D

Here's to hoping I'm living in San Diego and won't have to book a room.

How come they never send you anywhere "less taxing"?

Oh, and if the Meet Up has music, we've already established that it will be the soundtrack to the 1986 Transformers Movie. Just pointing that out. Don't worry, Sharktopus says he's on it.
