What do you do when you when the United States Air Force refuses to help you make your USAF centric movie because it makes them look moronic? You rent the Israeli Air Force and make Iron Eagle.

This movie is terrible in so many wonderfully stupid ways. The irritatingly smug/whiney hero's incompetent father is shot down over Davidsuchet-istan and the Reagan era-DoD seems content to let him be executed. Our hero, Doug, gathers his friends and colonel Louis Gossett Jr. to steal a couple of F-16s for a rescue mission. It goes great. Everyone but David Suchet lives happily ever after.

Some especially juicy targets for riffing:
After colonel daddy gets shot down we're treated to this scene of Doug in his Cessna racing some douche on a motorbike. Of particular note are the facts that Doug's friends also own aircraft and at the end of the race Doug's Cessna is crashed. (Considering colonel daddy probably paid for the Cessna, I wonder how long after he's saved Doug's gonna wait before mentioning the airplane repair bill.)

Here we have Doug's club, housed in a former bomb storage bunker, meeting to plan their theft of Air Force aircraft and top secret intelligence. Sure, these are offenses that could put them in federal prison for decades but it's okay because colonel daddy needs them.

There are hundreds, if not thousands of riffable moments. David Suchet provides several dozen. Also present in the movie are Lamar from Revenge of the Nerds, Styles from Teen Wolf and Melvin from Tremors. Colonel daddy is also played by that crazy Peace Corps guy from Volunteers.

Yeah there aren't enough Louis Gossett Jr Riffs!

I wholeheartedly agree, his performance here is admirably terrible. Sadly he doesn't call the hero, or anyone else, MA-YO-NNAISE. Which I can imagine Mike, Bill or Kevin can fix.

Example when we first see him as a greasy mechanic tuning up the hero's Cessna.
Doug: Why are you making my mixture so rich?
Riffer: <in drill sergeant voice> Because you are a rich mixture of egg yolk, oil and acid; MA-YO-NNAISE!

Plus, I'm also hoping for more David Suchet.
Colonel Nakesh: I want these pigs destroyed!
Kevin as random soldier: We have pigs? Can we make bacon with the remains?

Is that what Professor Bobo is referencing in the MT3K host segment about making a sandwich out of one of the Observers' brains?

It hadn't occurred to me previously but you could very well be right. Lately I've had visions of Dr. Bobo preparing food for Brain Guy. It looked like some kind of egg salad concoction. He was stirring, and tasting it while Observer watched. Well, it wasn't so much watching as it was blankly starring in Bobo's direction while a stream of saliva flowed from his gaped mouth.

Two of the key ingredients; bacon and mayonnaise. Coincidence? Probably.
