What alien things did we learn?

I learned that alien zombies can kill you by nuzzling you to death.  This will leave your corpse in pretty good condition, with little more than a blood stain on your face.

I learned that if you want to set a scene in the night time, you can just shoot during broad daylight and have characters complain about darkness that is apparently there.

I think this might have been one of the most visually unpleasant movies I can remember them doing.  It was just so gross and tough to look at sometimes.

I learned that Pastor is right about this being unpleasant.
I learned that the zombies like to get real handsy while killing.
I learned alligators are a great way to tell if things are going south. As well as badly.
This felt like a bad Don Dohler movie. Which I didn't even know was possible.
