Is this the reason Rifftrax pulled Wizards of the Lost Kingdom, or is it unrelated?

Iron Curtain

I literally slept through this episode. I also didn't laugh at the riffs that much. I would have to say this is my least favorite out of all the ones I've seen so far.

That being said, I'm enjoying the sequel episode.

Weird. To each their own. This is one of my favorites so far. Crabby hat brings me so much joy.

Was there a Gypsy rift in the secondto last segment that they forgot to put her on screen for?

Man, this movies Han Solo wannabe is painful.  He sort of feels like the Zapp Rowsdower of fairyland, only much smugger.

So did I just miss it, or did they not mention that the villain is played by the same actor that played Truxartus in the MST3K Deathstalker episode?

Darth Geek

Just finished the episode. I enjoyed the riffing a lot. But the movie, wow it was bad!

So that actor is pretty much playing the exact same character as Truxartus, complete with ignoring the advances of his hot lady accomplice.

Was Dragonslayer boasting about how it had the weeniest junior wizard hero, and then this movie said "Hold my beer"?

That poor suit actor playing the...yeti thing... had to be sweating to death on set every day, and the character literally did nothing in this movie!

Also, look at Not-Mark Hamill in the center.

It DOES have a crabhat, but the crabhat in the movie lacks a skull.

A few places in this one I thought the riffing was really funny, but mostly just meh.

WhyDontTheyLook

From what I've been able to gather, the opening 20 minutes or so of the film was made up of scenes cut from "Deathstalker."  And both were produced by (among others) Roger Corman, so were probably shot around the same time--though probably not the same weekend.  Probably.

Riffing was... ehhhh... on this one.  It's been a while since I watched the Rifftrax version, so I can't say how they compare, but I recall liking their version more than this.
