odd, maybe I'll google/wiki it...

edit: didnt find anything on wiki, but this little tidbit that google turned up, says that it is a common word... aww well, learned a new phrase today :)

"Emerging in the late 1800s as a phrase referring to someone a little crazy, slightly deranged, a bit off his rocker, "touched in the head" has had over a century to evolve within our vernacular."

QuoteMust be a UK expression, to be a little 'touched' in the head (by God, presumably to make you 'special')

no it isnt.  ive heard it many times before and even used it.

Popular in the US too.   At least, popular among us who are slightly touched in the head.

Well i'm touched in the head too, because i enjoy Paycheck.
I also like Gigli but that's just because it's so bad it amuses me.

KissKissBangBang

SSSSS, this is a movie made in the 70's about a Mad Scientist who turns people into snakes.  Dirk Benedict was in it..........I thought it was decent for a 70's low budget film.

They said, "touched in the head" on the 2nd episode of the Simpson's tonight (referring to Homer of course).

That movie scared the stuffing out of me when I was a kid.

Especially the ending.

I saw that on one of the HD movie channels not long ago and it was a ball.   What a 70's piece of work!

They need to show "Zoltan:  Hound of Dracula" soon.

I love the dozens of Kaiju (Japanese Monster) films that have been made. As far as I'm concerned, though, it's not the guys wrestling in rubber suits that are the "bad" part of these films: It's the insane and impotent human cast.
The poor idiots spend the whole movie trying to stop any number of threats, and acting surprised when these attempts inevitably fail.
Any romances in the film stop at "implied affection" and don't even move to "dry kiss." The one time one of the characters implied a desire to have sex with another character, it sounded awkward and grotesque. Like a Care Bear dressed as a gimp.
The short sighted and often insane capitalist characters- How do these nuts always manage to build these huge corporations? (That question holds in the real world as well, though.
And, of course, the "Kennies." Little kids who know more that they should, who are allowed access to government installations, and who are always listened to.

Why do giant monsters always feel the need to plow through major cities? Because in their world, it's the only thing that makes sense.

Sideswipe

Im going to go out on a limb here and say, Army of Darkness.  It was pretty low budget and you can tell.  It was still pretty entertaining though.  Certainly lots of bad effects and dialouge.  There are lots of good lines too.

I was bieng threated with death by wolf raping before it was cool!.

Oh definitely - it's a great movie to watch with a big, good-humored group of friends.

But, alone, in my heart I know... I'll always have a place for ...  The Wiz.

Anaconda - I love it.
Troll - Harry Potter! Harry Potter Jr.!
Vibes - with Cindi Lauper and Jeff Goldblum in hyper kinetic space cadet mode in a crazy psychic caper, how can you go wrong?
Child's Play - I've always found it hilarious, but *only* the first one. The ones that are "dark comedy" just aren't funny to me.
Face/Off - moronic, cheesy good times
And I love "Joe Vs. The Volcano", which has a bad reputation, but it's not bad to me.
I know you are but what am I

AmazingThor

The movie Aligator was a big steaming pile of cheesy fun. Ditto Pirahna. Pretty much and movie about killer animals is guaranteed to be fun. Except Squirm.

I think Anaconda is hilarious just because of John Voight's face in it. He always looks like a total douche in that movie.

And Face/Off is just one of those movies that I wish had a cheesy titular line. "Oh no, looks like he's going to take my (looks into camera) Face Off!"
Pay attention to the weird hand thing in that movie. Cage and Travolta periodically put their hands over their daughter's face in the most dramatic ridiculous way possible that I just can't not laugh.

This one may be a whopper. I am unsure when The Stupids came into my life. I own it. When I show my friends this movie, they get angry at me. However, it will always have a place in my heart. If you enjoy bad movie, give this one a gander.

The Stupids is indeed a good bad movie.... To continue with the Tom Arnold "good bad" vibe.... Big Bully isn't so bad either.
