My joke was not up there with Soily Pantsenberger or Jon Voight's self-administered colonoscopy (my other two jokes).  But, I didn't remember I was a guest riff-writer until a couple days before the show.  And, I felt so crappy,  it was difficult to find anything funny at all, about anything.  I almost asked to bow out of writing the joke at all.
