One the list of good comic movies.....Spider-Man 1 and 2 and X-Men 1 and 2 definitely....Hellboy too. I haven't seen more of these non-superhero comics, so my opinion is limited. I was not a huge fan of V for Vendetta, but I didn't get to see all of it. I did not enjoy "A History of Violence" myself...but my opinions often seem to conflict greatly with the people here...

Me, I'm just glad that the rumor early on of Nicolas Cage as Stark was untrue, still....
from The Wicker Man to Iron Man would've been a step up, I believe...

HA! I'd see the movie if it was about Tony Stark making his own wicker armor.

Robert Downy Jr. plays an alcoholic billionaire! I wonder how much acting he had to do for that role...

A lot...he's only a millionaire...so he had to emote ten times his normal rate.

Looks like it's made of plastic, not metal.  Other than that...awesome!

I wonder how Downey takes a piss?

The Armor's rust proof.

...

So these are basically just studio-hired computer nerds doing preproduction art, right?
Nothing has been built or actually filmed at this point.

I mean, it looks cool... i'm stoked. But this is all still a long time off, right?

Nope, Iron Man exists.

Literally it seems.

No, it's a practical costume created by Stan Winston studios. There's a fuzzy video circulating out there of someone in the Iron Man armor walking, stretching, and crouching. They've been filming for a few months for a May 2008 release.

Douglin

DAMN!! this looks like it could be great.

Junkyard

Gotta admit, it looks awesome. Downey may just yet prove to be a good choice.

Bob

Cool, thanks for posting.

I have high hopes.

Man, that looks great.  Like a lot of people, I thought Downey was perfect for Tony Stark, and it seems our belief is justified.

Tripe

Yep from what i could see it looks great, thankfully little Paltrow in the trailer (not sure about her frankly).

My wife loved what she saw (she's a major fan of Iron Man)
