Man was that a fun movie. My wife and I really enjoyed it.

So I've seen it now and I had an absolute blast with it. But I though I would put my few issues with it here:

1. Why wasn't it Weapon X? It's a Fox made movie, they have the rights to that name. And even if they didn't say the name, why wasn't it at least a Canadian government program?
2. Why did they change it so it was a latant mutant healing ability, rather than a healing ability the program gave him? It makes no sense to "just torture him to see what happens". Not to mention why a healing factor that he had in him would make him all disfigured like that.
3. Why did they pussify Colossus?! He looked awesome, yes. But spent most of the time being thrown around by someone half his size. He's an experienced X-Man in this movie, and he throws up at the sight of someone getting shot?
4. The villain was boring, and his motivations and powers poorly defined.
5. The love story just seemed obligatory, but I'm fine with that. If anything, him wanting to keep her out of his life with Cancer was the best part of it. But I kept expecting her to reject him afterward, or be killed off. Having him get the girl at the end was not a good ending.
6. Vanessa should have been goo after being thrown that far inside the container at the end! Seriously, WTF? I genuinely though that is where it was going (and maybe it did in an earlier draft). If it was Deadpool's failure that caused her death, that would mess him up even more. That would have been more true to the comics.

Ultimately all of those things are really very secondary. It is all to serve the humor, which was top notch.  The trailers really didn't do it justice, probably because even the red band ones couldn't show a lot of it.

Best of all, it looks like it's doing very well already. With $12.7 million in Thursday alone!

I saw it.  It was pretty great.  The after credits scene was one of the best ones yet.  One of my favorite lines:
"A face that I would be proud to sit on."

I was surprised when nothing happened at the Stan Lee cameo. Hell, Deadpool doesn't even see Stan, that I recall.

One reason they may have not killed off the love interest is that he has a kid in the comics doesn't he?  That may tie into the sequel at some point perhaps?

I don't know why the didn't go with the Weapon X thing other than maybe because they screwed it up so bad before & didn't want to completely rehash the same thing?   As for the bag guys motivation I think power & money. But yeah they probably could've done more with it.  Even so, don't care. Loved the movie.

My wife was in tears laughing at the line Kete had in spoilers.

I would've liked to see a little more interaction with Weasel. Fingers crossed for that in part two!

Well....

In the scene where Wade first walks into the bar, he says "Buck. Liefield." as he enters. They're both out of frame a second later so I couldn't tell if it was Robbie or not.
