I'm very torn. Adam Sandler starring in a movie is usually a big red "Don't See" flag for me, but the subject is so near and dear to me, I'm afraid I might have to see this one...

Everyone's pretty much already pointed out the fact that this plot is pretty much the video game "What If" scenario from Futurama: Anthology of Interest II.

I'll probably just watch that again while I wait to hear if this is any good.

Don't you know, there are only a handful of people still alive that played arcade games in the 80s....   

If this trailer is the best stuff they could pull from this movie, I doubt I'll ever watch it, even if when it ends up on Netflix.

Well I played them too! So why can't I be one of the only people in the world who can save it? What about Fry's brother? What about Fry? Sure, i know he's languishing in a cryotube somewhere but certainly he can be thawed out if the need is that dire... and believe me, if Adam Sandler is our last fucking hope, shit is dire indeed!

The only way I could see that joke working is if Sandler and friends AREN'T the ones that really save anything. They just assume they are the only ones who can, and the military is really taking these things out, it just coincidentally looks like they were effecting things for a while.

Eh, Sandler is less actively annoying than that Spoony guy?
