And the 80s said, "let there be fantasy movies," and there were fantasy movies, and they were good. Well, they weren't really. But lo, raise thy flagon to the 80s, for through the mists of legendry* (*actual phrase from the movie) they bring us The Sword and the Sorcerer!

Before George R.R. Martin ever Gamed a Throne, The Sword and the Sorcerer had a witch bringing forth a hideous monster, a noble family of good guys getting wiped out, and even a Red Wedding! Or at least a Magenta Wedding. It also has a three-bladed sword that shoots blades, the kind of idea that seems like it could only have been pitched by an 8 year old boy right after the phrase "You know what would be COOL?"

Follow the adventures of our hero, Talon, a rogue/warrior/buccaneer/general/upholsterer/freelance architect/hooker with a heart of gold, as he gets vengeance and shoots his sword and swings on ropes and whatnot, y'know, hero stuff.

It's high fantasy, just like the blacklight posters and pewter figurines at Spencer's Gifts envisioned! Join The Mike and The Bill and The Kevin for The Sword and the Sorcerer!

Note: contains some scary stuff and brief incidental harem nudity.

Glad there is a Burnable DVD Image available. :o
Hope that option is brought back regularly for future VODs

...it hasn't gone anywhere. I've made ISO files for every VOD release that we've done, if you don't see one for a feature-length product, email support - because I guarantee that it should be there.

The Lurker

Oddly enough the soundtrack is available through Google Play if you're interested.

Yeah, that's pretty good.

I've never seen this. However, I've spent most of the summer creating my own Drive-In double features thanks to a handful of video joiners, the library's DVD collection and, um, other places. This one was on a double feature I called Not Quite Cimmerian, with Lucio Fulci's Conquest - haven't watched it yet, obviously.

It includes a three-bladed sword and Bull from Night Court buried in makeup. I must own it.

eegah

This movie has the guy from Werewolf, the guy from Night Court, the guy from Future Force, the guy from SST:Death Flight, Moonie, and Big McLargehuge. Cool!

/one comment: the movie audio seems kinda low compared to the riff.

Really ???
The last several VODs only showed up in my selection as the varying mp4's but no Burnable DVD option..
I just selected the High mp4 and converted it to a DVD format using either Pinnacle Studio 14 or DVDStyler :-\
I'll be sure to look for this on future VODs.

And the option is still not there if you look back at them?
FINE

There are page layout differences for the VODs, This one explicitly shows the ISO option, but the TV images are missing, the other pages have the TV images but not the ISO option. Perhaps that's what RVR is seeing too.

Holy shit, Reb Brown is in this!
EDIT: Holy shit, Reb Brown is no longer in this!

Seriously, movie, why the hell would you waste having Reb Brown in your sword and sandal movie and barely give him a chance to yell?

The ISO is listed under the 4 mp4 options but no 'Burnable DVD Image' icon so maybe that's why I've been missing it :-[

Watched last night. A solid 8. I saw this a long time ago and remember having a huge crush on Kathleen Beller. She married Thomas Dolby you know. I guess she blinded him with....

On Twitter they gave away the title of the next one too.
